President's Nobel Peace Sur-prize.

President´s Nobel Peace Sur-prize.

What are President Obama´s achievements is not really the consideration in lavishing this prize on him.

What this lavishing might entail, however, is envisioned to be vastly consequential. This gesture ought to be visualized on much broader, international horizon, for its impact on array of unfolding events and political as well as ideological decisions President would take.

Pakistan, not Afghanistan, is on the top of the list of the President´s strategic and ideological, pivotal, policy formulation. It is very well understood that Pakistan is the most crucial player in this game of "Kill the snake without breaking the stick".

Afghanistan is a lost territory for us. It is un-win-able. If we try to coax a victory in haste or by procrastinating and increasing the number of boots on the ground, it would prove to be our graveyard. We do not have the stomach for that in this harsh economic climate. Face saving with grace is the only option we have, and for that we are in dire need of Pakistan. Pakistan is our savior of the last resort. Pakistan had never been so important and crucial, from several other strategic angles as well, for us as it is today.

President has to walk a razor sharp thin line, striking a delicate equilibrium amongst the pre-election rhetorics, party positioning in opposition to the Bush´s jingoistic-legacy and national interests. The future of the Democratic Party, including the second term for the President, and much more hinges on the trajectory of decisions of the President.

I am of the opinion that President would not send the number of soldiers requisitioned but a token increase would be resorted to. President Karzai will be sent packing sooner or later as he has become a liability. Negotiations with Taliban, acute attention to the public and civil sentiments in Pakistan; with clear disregard to the Zardari´ Government wishes, and conciliatory tone in dealing with Iran and first time ever relative shift in Israel/Palestine conflict, are very clear indications of the way this chess board, laid out by Bush/Cheney & CO, is about to be wrapped up.

Pakistan would be the place where every one would be putting his bet. Given the most corrupt and incompetent Government in place, President would have no choice but to deal with Military and the civil society simultaneously. Pakistanis are going through a, chaotic and haphazard in the absence of leadership, mode of resurgence, re-formation and restoration. They are growing passionately cognizant, civic-minded, nationalistic, religious and feverishly desirous of being on top of the world. The catalysts for this very change are, George Bush´s War on Terror and the aggrandization of India by the west; which has never been envisioned in any other way than enemy of Pakistan, due to its openly nefarious designs, not only against Pakistan but all of its neighbors.

It has become languishing mind set of the Muslims across the board, that west having learnt from them should not humiliate them, dictate them and push them around at will. They are ardently determined to get out of that agonizing, torturous complex. That is their destiny, clearly written on the horizon.

Mass rejection by Pakistanis of 1.5b Kerry-Lugar aid package to Pakistan is a clear vindication of that. It has been vehemently rejected by the people of all walks of life since it has some very arrogantly dictatorial conditions included, challenging the national sovereignty, interference in Pakistan´s internal matters, fielding the army against the civilian government and Criminalization of Pakistan´s core institutions.

American Ambassador to Pakistan and the Vice President has admitted of those blunders in the bill. In my opinion it was the crafty work of a Mir Jaffar and Mir Sadik in the modern garb of Ahmed Chalabi: who made the inclusion of such conditionalities in the bill (with the help of Obama surrounding Indian staffers; whose loyalties are more with their homeland than adopted homeland).

Surprisingly many in the congress and senate were unaware of inclusion of these conditions except a small number of arrogantly dictatorial minded, barren of any wisdom, members who lent their ears to these steering and careening elements.

The purpose here seemed to be the provision of political edge to India in its perpetual propaganda against Pakistan and presumption that it would strengthen the position of the, so called democratically elected, government of Zardari. This whole premise fell on its fours and Chalabis lost their bets. This is the second time, in recent history, that US is afforded an opportunity to learn a lesson of not listening to its own Chalabis or that of others.

President Zardari is more un-credible and weaker than even Hamid Karzai. His credibility and capability has already been challenged in the court of law. He is left with no moral authority to keep clinging to Presidency; an early exit is very likely.

Let me name Ahmad Chalabi of Pakistan. It is an American crafted, in so called think tanks, and appointed Pakistani Ambassador to US --Hussain Haqqani; who is self admittedly anti-military, anti-Islamic law west-appeaser. He could simply be classed as "Wana-be-American" brain washed elite. For Chalabis of any origin and brand it is only the self interest which matters.

It is very vital for president Obama to be extremely cautious and take the steps in the right direction or else it shall tarnish the Color for the rest of the human history. Unfortunately, the ruthless time has not afforded him the luxury to experiment and fail.

President ought to be mindful of the growing sentiments in the Muslim world; especially those of younger generation, who are going to force their way to the corridors of power and hold the reins in most of the politically bankrupt countries.

You do not want to create and strengthen a whole class of future Commanders/Mujahideen on the adversarial side instead of friendship; to an admittedly waning, weakening super power.

This is the historical-juncture where we have to, prudently and thoughtfully, sow the seeds of survival and co-existence.

In most of the countries of the third world, there is an ongoing revolution of education, relative-prosperity and enlightenment, which would strip the old hogs out of the scenes and place the destiny in the hands of the younger, nationalistic, religious, patriotic and more so humanistic and virtuous lot.

This, contrary to the common wisdom, is a fast track shift and west may not have enough time to align itself on the right side if not initiated right now, as it has already lost its primal position in the economic field due to its negligent slumber. West is still reeling from losing economic might to the East, busy licking its wounds.

This process would be more phenomenal in Muslim countries, because of the religiously infused zeal for excellence, in virtues, piety, and self respect (by vehement refusal to bow down to anyone and anything other than God). Reminiscence of the dominant and glorious past, greatly enhanced due to education and info revolution, is turning into a burning desire in the Muslim Psyche for re-gaining that status of leadership of the world.

One last thing! In expressing which, I might seem biased or sentimental, that this world of ours ought to face the dominance of Islam, as it is the dictate of the time and logic-what goes up must come down and vice versa. Those who might not agree with me on this, should step back and think through and hard as to why be I wrong?

(A sincere piece of advice to those, who at the helm of affairs in the west might heed, as I am a firm believer in the peaceful co-existence, since in Christian terms we are all children of God)
