Will the Health Reform Bill Become A Joke?
Joseph -
When we started this fight, some people were skeptical. We drew a line in the sand, and told skeptics that inclusion of a public option was the only way to have affordable healthcare reform. We told them that competition from the choice of a public option would decrease the cost of premiums and increase the quality of service.
We were right.
Join us Wednesday to tell Sen. Bayh that affordable healthcare reform must include a public option
Senator Bayh has repeatedly stated that he wants to see a healthcare bill that reduces the deficit rather than raising it. Over the past few weeks, reports from the Congressional Budget Office have stated that a robust public option tied to Medicare rates would lower the price-tag of healthcare reform by $110 billion.

Even if you can't make it at noon on Wednesday, we need passionate activists like you to let Senator Bayh know we support fiscally responsible healthcare reform. Write to Senator Bayh's office asking him to support a public option that will save us money. Write a letter to editor of your local newspaper to let other people know, too!

The facts are on our side. The people are on our side. Let's get Senator Evan Bayh on our side, too.
Thanks for all of your hard work.
