A Review of the Strobel Latex Mattress

Consumer reviews are full of articles about the various Strobel mattresses. The company makes "specialty" mattresses, which means they make mattresses other than traditional inner spring models. This is not to say that the company doesn't use innersprings, but they prefer the use of hybrid sleep technologies designed to give the best of multiple types of mattress. When it comes to air and water bedding, Strobel is the recognized industry leader, but how good are their latex mattress offerings?
The Strobel latex mattress does compare well with other leading brands, such as Tempurpedic. In fact, the patented Polyfilax memory foam is often reported to be better at responding to the individual curves of the body, providing a level of sleep that is often compared to sleeping suspended in thin air. If a firmer surface is required, the Strobel Supple-Pedic 3000 has the least amount of memory foam, and provides the firmest surface. For a softer surface, the Strobel Supple-Pedic 6000 has a full six inches of body-fitting Polyfilax.
Another key aspect of the Strobel Supple-Latex mattress is the heat controlling properties of Polyfilax. Where traditional memory foams are notorious for allowing excess heat to accumulate near the body, Polyfilax helps conduct excess heat away, keeping the sleeper cooler and allowing them to sleep more soundly. It is quickly apparent that a great deal of research has gone into the design of these mattresses, from the patented memory foam to the equally patented box spring design, as I will discuss next.
The box spring for the Supple-Pedic 6000 uses the patented Lever Support system. Sections of springs are placed on a pivot similar to a see-saw. When more weight is applied to one side of the fulcrum, the other side lifts up, providing equal support to recessed areas of the body, such as the lumbar region. When coupled with the superior quality of Polyfilax, a remarkable sleep surface is possible.
Now, the Strobel Supple-Pedic 6000 king mattress is going to be one of the most expensive beds of its type. The research and development which goes into Strobel mattresses alone is worth paying a little more, and that is before the pricing for so many patented materials is figured in at all.
