Heat Wave Makes Pat Robertson A Believer In Global Warming

Robert Paul Reyes
"We really need to address the burning of fossil fuels... It is getting hotter, and the icecaps are melting and there is a buildup of carbon dioxide in the air."

Which fire-breathing liberal uttered this apocalyptical warning about the dangers of global warming? Was it Al Gore who sees the effects of global warming when his ice cream cone starts to melt?

Believe it or not, this warning was issued by televangelist Pat Robertson on an airing of the "700 Club".

Why is Robertson now a believer in global warning? Did he research the subject on the Internet or watch Gore's documentary?

No, it's the recent heat wave that is scorching the United Sates that has converted him into a believer in global warming. The 76-year-old Robertson told viewers that was "the most convincing evidence I've seen on global warming in a long time."

It's also convincing evidence, not that we need any additional proof, that Pat Robertson is off his rocker. Global warming is proven or rejected by studying the climate over hundreds of years, not by checking to see what today's temperature is.

But I do admit that it's been so hot recently that it's convinced me that there is a hell.

This winter when the temperature dips below freezing, and Robertson's 76-year old bones are shivering, he will issue a press release warning of the dangers of the coming Ice Age.

Let's not forget that this is the same Pat Robertson who was ridiculed last year for declaring that hurricanes Katrina and Rita may be a sign the end of the world was near.
