Pedophile Says Sex with Kids is a Sacred Civil Right

An admitted pedophile accused of having sex with young boys told the judge during a pre-trial hearing that having sex with children is a "sacred ritual protected by civil rights laws." The predator allegedly chose victims who suffered from physical or mental disabilities.

Phillip Distasio, an avowed pedophile, claims he's the pastor of the church called Arcadian Fields Ministries. Distasio is charged with over 70 counts including rape and giving drugs to minors.

"I'm a pedophile. I've been a pedophile for 20 years," he announced in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Wednesday. "The only reason I'm charged with rape is that no one believes a child can consent to sex. The role of my ministry is to get these cases out of the courtrooms."

The pedophile and pederast (someone who has sex with post-pubescent children) said some of his church attendees are among the victims in this case. Distacio, of Rocky River, Ohio, is faciing charges for allegedly molesting two disabled boys he tutored at his home, and also raping seven autistic boys at a Cleveland school for special-needs students where he was a teacher's assistant. Except for one, all of his victims were under 12-years old.

A conviction on rape charges involving any of the eight younger boys would mean an automatic sentence of life in prison without parole eligibility, according to the prosecutor in the case.

In June, Distasio fired his court-appointed attorney because the lawyer refused to argue a "religious freedom defense." Judge Kathleen Sutala ruled that Distasio could represent himself if the attorney remained as an adviser.

The police investigation revealed that while smoking marijuana the suspect engaged in sex with boys in his apartment and even gave the drug to the children. When the police searched the pedophile's apartment they found journals describing his activities, child pornography and videotapes showing Distasio, a self-proclaimed paganist friar, engaging in sex with boys.
