Piles Remedy - Are Their Home Remedies That Work?

Kenneth Elliott
In this article I plan to talk about Piles, what it means to have piles, what can cause piles, the different types of piles and a Piles remedy. Let´s first talk about what piles are. Have you heard of hemorrhoids? Well, piles is another name for hemorrhoids. The condition occurs when swelling which is round in nature occurs inside of the anal canal. The swelling usually occurs between the anal canal and the muscular tube between your rectum and your anus. This area is most commonly known as the anal cushion.

What happens is the blood in the varicose vein helps to stabilize your bowel activities. In an normal individual this process occurs quit often. But pressure from bowel movements can cause the blood flow through the varicose vein to decrease. As a result the veins become enlarged and the loss of blood flow will begin to cause clotting. This clotting is what causes inflamed internal and external hemorrhoids.

An external pile is when the veins become so clotted and inflamed that they develop below the anal cushion. This condition is very painful, even more painful than any of the other types. The veins are unable to be pushed back into the anal canal are visible.

Internal piles do not protrude outside of the anal canal. They are not visible to the naked eye until in some cases bowel movements occur. After the bowel movement the piles are easily pushed back into the canal. Sign of internal piles are rectum hemorrhaging and blood and mucus present during bowel movements.

As for a cause of piles, a definitive cause of piles has not been discovered. Although, the cause has not been discovered there are plenty of theories. Some of the more common are:

1. Pregnancy and child birth

2. Age of the individual

3. Irregular bowel movements with increased pressure on the rectum

4. Lengthy sitting down and standing up

5. Looseness of the rectum

6. Heredity

7. Overweight

Three home pile remedies

1. Diet and exercise - Researchers have found people that have low fiber diets are more likely to end up with piles sometime in their futures. So, one way to cure piles is to control your diet and include high amounts of fiber to help break up waste that leave you body. Wastes that are broken up are easier for the body to dispose of and bring about relief to the anal cushion. Exercise also helps the body to help itself by removing toxins from the body. The removal of these toxins will help the inflamed piles area to heal faster.

2. Hemorrhoids cream - If you are really feeling the pain of hemorrhoids and you need immediate relief then hemorrhoids cream could be the answer, although, the cream will not heal your ailment completely. The cream is only meant to shrivel the tissue of the pile. The pain will subside for a couple of weeks but that will be temporary. The will return in a couple of weeks or months.

3. Rubber band ligation - rubber bands are ties around the pile to disrupt the blood from being delivered. In a few weeks with continued disruption the hemorrhoids the will begin to wither away and peel off.

Having piles can be a pain but with the correct diet and treatment, piles can be cured.
