WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- As part of the American Solar Energy Society's National Solar Tour, Solar Electrical Systems of Westlake Village will host a free guided Solar Home Tour of five solar-powered homes in the Conejo Valley area from 10:30am to 1:30pm on Saturday, October 3, 2009. Participants will be able to tour green homes, including two zero- energy solar-powered Eichler homes, talk to owners, and see first-hand how and why they are using solar energy and energy efficiency to reduce monthly utility bills and go green. It's an opportunity to get all the answers to your solar questions, and see how solar is incorporated into home design.

The National Solar Tour is the world's largest grassroots solar event. With solar costs recently dropping 30-40%, families and businesses are discovering that solar is a great investment now. The new 30% Residential Federal Tax Credit allows homeowners to capture stimulus money before the end of the year, along with utility rebates and other incentives that can save them up to 70% of a system's cost.

Solar Electrical Systems has 30 years of local experience designing and installing solar, and helping people reduce or eliminate their electric bills.
