Where Have All the Sane Dems Gone?

As the terrorists heat up their attacks on Western civilization, today’s Democrats focus on the pretend ‘outing’ of long-time-ago covert CIA agent Valerie Plame. Dem sycophant Joe Wilson (Ms. Plame’s husband) gave a “press conference” Thursday, alongside Dem Senator Charles “Where’s the camera?” Schumer, in which Wilson said that it’s “irrelevant” whether or not Rove is guilty of any crime and that he should resign anyway. So, if the Dems don’t like you, Mr. Rove, I guess you’re supposed to leave your job. This is, of course, NUTS!

Pelosi and most Democrats have now joined Wilson, who has repeatedly been discredited for virtually all of his statements regarding how he gained his appointment to Niger (this discrediting came from a bi-partisan Senate Investigating Committee) and anything else he has spewed forth in the past, in their screams for Rove’s resignation, hide…and more. Then, just for laughs, perennial screamer DNC Chairman Howard Dean said the Dems will “beat Republicans by having a positive message”. Huh? What positive message? So far there haven’t been any. When will one of them be forthcoming, Howie? We’re all waiting for it. Note: Democrats think all elected Republicans, not categorized by them as “moderate” or “liberal”, should resign.

Then, after Democrats and Republicans returned from the Guantanamo Bay detention facility and had given it a clean bill of health (even after the Schmidt Report said of the terrorist-prisoners’ treatment “It was not considered to be overly abusive. There was no injury. There was no pain involved in this” and found that “only three interrogation acts” violated regulations and “No torture occurred. Detention and interrogation operations were safe, secure and humane”), Dem Senator Carl Levin is still whining and complaining about the treatment of the ‘poor terrorists’. Note: There are some people you cannot please any of the time and, despite clear and present danger to the country, they will continue with their contrary ways.

The Democrats abject hatred—yep, it’s hatred!—of President Bush is so pronounced that they will do and say anything to bring him to his knees. Good heavens Demmie guys and gals! Did you forget that Bush won’t be running for POTUS, again? Or is the old Dem adage “If we can’t be in power, the country can go to Hell…and we’ll help it get there!” really true? It sure sounds like it to me and, apparently, to an increasing number of independents and traditional liberals. The old song title “Where have all the flowers gone?” seems almost required to be rewritten. And “Where have all the sane Dems gone?” has become an increasingly valid question.
