And what is the one issue that was and continues to be vitally important for President Barack Obama, and for millions of citizens within the United States? Top and center it is the vital and important health care issue! Why you may ask? Because Barack Obama cares for people, that's why! He cares for you and he is motivated by the memory of his Mother who died of Cancer. His Mother, while suffering with pain, constantly worried about paying her exhorbitant medical bills. Today, millions of people are in the same boat. They simply can't pay the medical bills and they will die as a result.
I question the compassion of certain individuals within the United States who will continue to allow suffering and death to happen simply to protect their economic profits! Health care is not a political game! This is a question of life and death for millions of people! Your own college kids have even stronger opinions. Title A Weak Climate Bill! What is growing our future?
What is a "Patriotic American" supposed to do when He or She becomes sick? Is He or She supposed to die for the greater glory of the private enterprise health insurance company? It is certainly not for the greater glory of the country because at this moment, the government of the United States wants to bring in a public health care option for your benefit. What Flag, exactly, are the Republicans and insurance companies waving? It is not the U.S. Flag and that's for certain because today, President Barack Obama is standing under that Flag, and he is standing proud.
Flag waving is ridiculous in this case and the Republicans and the insurance companies are waving their corporate Flags and shouting how Americans will lose their "Freedom" and how "unpatriotic" it is for a gentle and kind president to bring in a health care option. What these fools are saying is not simply Cow Crap, it is a whole Train load of the biggest load of Bull Shit I've heard in a long time, and I've heard a lot of Bull Shit emanating from the United States paid Television Media. The following is one such example:
Guess who is spreading it around? Republican X mayor of New York, Rudy Guliani, is and was selling a Video of 9/ll to School Children on the 'View' television program t his past week. This is the same Rudy Guliani who was almost lynched by his New York Fire department for providing life saving Firemen with faulty Radios. It was during the horrendous 9/11 disaster where dozens of New York Firemen died because they did not receive a clear 'leave the building' message on their radios. During the same course of events, every New York Police officer with excellent radios, got the message and survived.
I am surprised at Barbara Walters for allowing Republican Guliani to talk against Barack Obama's health care option during that same interview, without questioning his motives. Was Barbara held in check by her corporate Media Boss? I am surprised Walters, who is a trained and expert journalist, did not speak up when Guliani brought up his 9/11 Video, and surprised She of all people did not ask him about the faulty radios issued to his Fire Department. It was after all, the Fireman's Union that helped to destroy any chance Guliani had for becoming president of the United States.

Dear Joseph,
The media are derailing the health care debate.
All summer, I've been outraged as headlines and newscasts fed public hysteria about "death panels" and "socialized medicine" at the expense of substantive coverage of the issues.
Health care is literally a life-and-death concern. But the media are failing, and fear is winning.

This week was no exception. President Obama took the unusual step of making his case to a joint session of Congress with his arguments for health care reform, but the headlines are all about one disruptive congressman who shouted "you lie" during the speech.
Over the last 36 hours, the media have focused on the controversy surrounding Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst, but not on the substance of his claim -- that the president lied about coverage for undocumented immigrants -- which is demonstrably false.
Once again, the media are distracting us from the facts surrounding a vital national issue.
We Need a Real Debate:
Help Us Hold the Media Accountable
Free Press is working hard to create a media system where Big Mediaīs tiresome echo chamber doesnīt dictate public policy. We're:
Building a citizen movement to hold the media accountable as they continue to pursue ratings instead of the truth;
Creating a more diverse and independent media system that would provide an antidote to this kind of irresponsible journalism;
Supporting quality journalism and strong public media to help restore real debate;
Pushing for media policies that benefit all of us, not just giant corporations;
Empowering citizens and journalists with an open and accessible Internet free of corporate gatekeepers.
One thing is clear: The media arenīt doing their job, and we need to hold them accountable. With your help, we can do it.
Thank you,
