Some Thoughts About Some Things....
It seems that no matter how hard some of us try to perform good deeds, if one bad one is committed, that is all some people choose to remember, and they never let you forget it, no matter how small or great the deed is.
Standing in line at the check out lane patiently waiting one’s turn when suddenly an impatient person comes your way wondering out loud as if speaking to you, why does it seem that the line is not moving fast enough.
Is it a managerial problem? He or she wonders, or should he or she go to another store where he or she might encounter a similar situation at the check out lane? What sort of response should one give to this person, especially if the one patiently waiting his/her turn does not mind waiting?
In some countries of the world, some people will warn others who have a considerable amount of financial worth to beware of some one who will fool him or her just to get his or her hands on that person’s stash of cash.
If, on the other hand, one is hopelessly in love with the one he or she needs to beware of, how would he or she know if he or she is being fooled by said love interest he/she needs to beware of? Especially since we know love is, you know, supposed to be blind.
What if he or she conducts a google, dogpile or whatever internet search he or she wants to conduct, and comes up with nothing as his or her love interest does not have much online interests?
What is one to do, hire some private investigator to check him or her out all to see if he or she is indeed fooling you?
Similarly, if some one is dating some one who is displaying a violent temper; he or she might throw things across the room or punch a hole in the wall, how do you go about trying to break it off with such an individual?
Should one take his or chances in breaking off whatever semblance of a relationship one has with this person and hope that person does not use some of his or her violent temper on you? Is there any easy way to do this?
With all the discord that is taking place in the Middle East right now between Israel and Lebanon and the US, its allies and Iraq, how would it truly make you feel if your oldest niece/nephew just turned eighteen, and a politician mentions the country may be running out of troops and the draft may have to be implemented?
Keep in mind that the soldiers who are currently serving their country in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever else they are needed, are doing so because they willingly volunteered themselves and their time to the cause.
