Slaying dogs in China

Dr. George Voskopoulos
It sounds unbelievable but the Chinese authorities have engaged in a massive cull of dogs. The IFAW has exposed this practice and requests the assistance of everyone.

As informed, "the local government ordered the mass slaughter of all dogs as the re-sult of a few cases of rabies deaths. Dog killing squads are stalking the streets, merci-lessly beating dogs to death with sticks and rocks.

Friendly dogs - even healthy family pets - are being slaughtered right in front of their owners."

According to IFAW "dog owners in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, are even being told to kill their own dogs, or else their dogs will be beaten to death by the police and the owners will be charged a fine".

The slaughter is to start tomorrow so there is no time to waste. The world community should mobilize to stop this savage practice. This is a tangible sign of decadence, an affront to everyone.

The IFAW has requested to contact the Chinese authorities across the world and put pressure on a government that shows no respect for the environment and any living creature on the planet.
