Roman Catholic Church Issues Prayer For Faithful To Say Before Sex

Robert Paul Reyes
"Roman Catholic couples are being encouraged to pray together before they have sex.

A book published by a prominent Church group invites those setting out on married life to recite the specially composed Prayer Before Making Love.

It is aimed at 'purifying their intentions' so that the act is not about selfishness or hedonism." Read more:

Reciting a prayer before engaging in sex makes about as much sense as saying a prayer before blowing away Bambi to Kingdom Come:

"Oh Precious God, make my aim true and spare this poor deer from feeling any pain." Give me a freakin' break!

It's during sex and not before that folks feel compelled to cry out "Jesus" or "Oh, God."

A little pillow talk is conducive to good lovemaking, but if you are going to recite a prayer before sex, you might as well take saltpeter.

Sex act not about hedonism (pleasure)? What kind of insanity is that? Sex is all about having a good time, and what the hell is wrong with that?

This is the kind of foolish advice that you get from celibate priests who don't know jack about good sex!
