Let Israel Put The Genie Back In The Bottle

Israel’s lived in moderation dealing with terrorist with few exceptions for the past half century. This has been at the behest of the UN and most of the governments of the world the United States included. None understanding what it is to have their citizens murdered on a daily basis, at least until recently when terrorists began attacking indiscriminately.
When the allies were killing civilians during WWII there was no cry for compassion and restraint had there been it would have gone ignored, it was assumed the civilian populations who supported their governments became acceptable targets along with the enemies military. Civilians have always been a part of war no army can exist without their support.
I saw an interesting oxymoron on a TV news report from Lebanon. A young man’s hypocrisy as he was leaving the country for Syria this young Lebanese leaned his head out of the car window shouting how he stood with Hezbollah, so much for standing with someone. It seems most of the Arab world is doing the same standing with and a long way behind the Hezbollah terrorists.
The POL gained world wide recognition when former president Jimmy Carter decided to suck up to Yassar Arafat bringing him to prominence as a world leader worthy of our pseudo-recognition. Monica Lewinski was the only person with more frequent visits to the Clinton Whitehouse than Yassar Arafat. Had Carter and later Clinton walked away from Arafat without giving him and his terrorist murders the PLO credibility the Israelis could have resolved the situation long ago with less blood and money than now.
Muslim terrorists are like incorrigible children until they get a 2 x 4 along side the head strong enough to knock them off their feet and perhaps put them in a coma for a few weeks they’ll never get it and until they do get it the killings will continue. There’s no negotiating with terrorist. The proof is Israel pulled out of Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank with the understanding the Palestinians would finally have a home to build a nation on. The PLO was given every opportunity by Israel and the world to succeed, The PLO has been replaced by the more militant Hamas and Hezbollah to continue the fight until Israel is removed from the region and the Arabs are in charge.
Palestine’s never been indigenous Arab land there’s always been a predominantly Jews population in what is now Israel. The region was always shared with Arabs. That part of the Middle East known as Palestine’s been occupied territory for the past four thousand years by a dozed foreign armies, to assume Jews have no claim to the land is simply untrue.
It’s doubtful the Israelis intend to remove all Arabs once the dust settles and the war is over or as over as it will ever be. Now is the time for the world to set back and let things happen in their own way in their own time. Now’s the time to let the Israelis put the terrorist Genie back in the bottle.
