Authors Carol J Amato and Rhonda Fischer will be at Readers Festival September 12 in Mission Viejo

(Mission Viejo, CA September 2, 2009) Come out for a day of fun to the Readers Festival in Mission Viejo. Authors Carol J. Amato (Stargazer Publishing Company booth) and Rhonda Fischer (Whim Publishing booth) will be reading and signing their books. The Readers Festival is the first ever put on by the Mission Viejo library with tremendous response.

Carol J. Amato is a published author of children's books and books for adults. Some of her published credits include The Phantom Hunters: The Lost Treasure of the Golden Sun, The Lost Treasure of the Golden Sun Teacher's Guide; How to Start and Run a Writers' Critique Group, Writing Cool Short Stories, and The World's Easiest Guide to Using the APA. Each book in The Phantom Hunters mystery series, for kids 8-12, takes place in a different culture. Kids read an exciting mystery while learning about cultures around the world and tolerance and respect for diversity.

Rhonda Fischer is a published author of the book Randy Kazandy, Where Are Your Glasses? If your child wears glasses, this is a must buy book, bespectacled or not. Randy Kazandy has just been awarded into the Arts & Children's Museum in Saint Louis Missouri and is catching on.


A book raffle of Randy Kazandy and free book marks and coloring page coupons will be passed out. The book teaches self acceptance and Randy has a motto: "I love being me!

Beachfire in Ladera Ranch now has a Randy Roni meal for kids from this character and the free meal coupon will be passed out to the crowd by Target employees. Target is one of the sponsors for the Randy Kazandy, Where Are Your Glasses? book and love the message behind the book.

Other authors attending will be best seller Dean Koontz, and funny Henry Winkler who can keep the crowd entertained. Winkler talks about his learning disability and how he overcame his challenges.
