Batman, Spiderman Or Superman, Which Would You Choose?

Judy Ramsook
Role models and heroes are important figures. They inspire and motivate us into usually doing the right thing or taking the path in life that we should be on; the right one, which ever form it takes.

Along this road though, there are fictional heroes and role models that also permeate the landscape of life. Fictional heroes such as Superman, Spiderman and Batman to name a few; many more have been added to the world of fiction ever since. If one had the opportunity to pick out a fictional hero in a time and place where he or she could have the hero he or she preferred, which one would you choose and why? Would it be Superman, Spiderman or Batman? And why?

I would choose Superman because his super human powers are built in to his being. He does not need fancy gadgets and technologically advanced vehicles that are worth millions of dollars; Batman style. Nor does he need a batcave in which to store such items.

Also, he does not need to be bitten by some radioactive spider in order to obtain his powers either, like Spiderman does.

He, Superman comes crashing into Earth in his little ship with the powers he is born with. Most of you reading this are already quite familiar with those powers.

So this writer will not bother to list them, but there he is, Superman. One man with many powers, no gadgets needed. What makes it more interesting for him is, if there is no kryptonite around, he, Superman can truly save the day. No fancy gadgets, high tech vehicle or web needed.

For what if one finds himself in time pressured emergency sort of setting where there is no time to get to his batcave to obtain his gadgets and batmobile?

Also, what if this emergency also takes place where there are no tall buildings or ledges from which to swing, or leap, Spiderman style. Will his and Batman's fighting ability be enough to survive the adventure?

Pure simplicity. That's what Superman represents. Just one person who came into the fictional world with all that power. Of course he might need to wear his cape sometimes to keep his identity safe from his colleagues at the Daily Planet and others who know him as simply, Clark Kent.
