AMERICA GROWS UP

Has your pursuit of happiness been compromised by the dishonesty and greed that had taken over Wall Street and the Financial markets? Does common sense get lost in the chaos when transparency goes missing? When you found out in the fall of 2008 that all your investments were worth thirty to sixty percent less than the previous year, who did you think was responsible for that?

As American citizens we have the opportunity to find workable solutions to push this country forward, but first we have to decide what the truth is. Together we can work to overcome the deception that has been destroying our country and find the power to change the wrongs by not repeating the mistakes of the past.

Many of our Representatives and Senators have lost their vision for our children´s future. The politicians that are bought with corporate funds lining their bank accounts are missing the opportunities to make the right choices for, "We The People." Our country has been sold out from under us. We´re no longer the super power we use to be because we haven´t progressed with the times.

When so many people are out of work and in desperate need because greed shifted our country out of focus. The last administration financed war leaving us with towering debt to China that´s enormous along with having no regard for a balanced budget. Continuing war on any level is insane and inhumane.

Health and education need to be our top priorities not war and destruction.

Right now our country is at a one-eighty from where we need to be. The changes made at our country´s highest office has brought compassion for humanity back into the Oval Office. Our new commander in chief, President Obama is trying to bring all sides together as he´s mediating the chaos with intelligent conversation but we have to decide what to believe. The name-calling and threats highlighted by the media to distort the truth, adds havoc and dissention.

Spinning issues hide the real possibilities with counter punches by those who want to maintain the status quo. Derogatory words bring the bully front and center with the daily distortions that both political parties are using to hide the reality and confuse the issues because they don´t understand the consequences.

When taxpayers realize they´re paying for all the issues that are plaguing our country right now, not the corporations that are making all the profit. The banks and holding companies were given a pardon for their bad investments and some financial institutions are showing higher profits now, than in the past couple years. That clears their books but what about you? Has your consumer debt disappeared so you have a clean slate moving forward?

Our country was based on freedoms and open markets, but to think how so few have taken advantage of so many with the deregulation of industries that obviously can´t be self-regulated. We need checks and balances to maintain credibility because without integrity we have nothing.

The government agencies that you think are looking out for your health and welfare, FDA, USDA, EPA, were stripped of their powers during the previous administration. The basics like providing our families with nutritious natural foods that maintains healthy bodies without GMO has been compromised. Obesity is now an epidemic because GMO consumes the processed food industry and most people don´t know this because GMO is not labeled in America.

How did you feel every time you pulled into a gas station, paying the highest gas prices in history and the oil companies were making billions in profits per quarter in 2008? Clean air and water standards haven´t been a priority in our country because Industries like oil and coal control the votes their money. One in eight children in CA have asthma and mercury poisoning is affecting adults.

Our Healthcare program whether it´s a public option or non-profit medical co-operatives needs to compete with private insurers. We payout the most in premiums but get the least back in services. We need the freedom to choose without a mandate.

Firing teachers because states don´t have the funds to educate our children properly and ready them for the complex state of affairs that this past generation has left us. The importance of education and healthcare should be recognized above all, but instead our society has taken a back seat to the rest of the developed world. Our country´s test scores in math and science place us 20th and 25th in the world.

Our public education system needs major improvements with Federal funds to stimulate the analytical and creative process of this generation. Producing a higher percentage of competent individuals that will put our children at the forefront of the world´s direction is important for our country´s future,

Generation gaps block young people from progressing forward when stagnate minds don´t comprehend how ideas like fuel-efficient cars, family flex time and alternative energy would benefit so many. The recent graduates that have completed their studies in alternative energies, organic farming and education need to step forward with ideas and solutions that will accelerate our society.

We´re all here right now, together. We need to make an honest effort and stop using excuses that pass the blame and start taking responsibility for our words and actions. Do you have the patience to listen and understand why, so we can find the common relevance that calmly develops sustainable solutions for our country´s future?

As we change the dynamics and show each other respect, we´ll find the right solutions. Everyone working together increases the momentum to do the right thing. The magic of compassion, determination and integrity speaks volumes when Americans turn on the desire to reinvent the wheel for the 21st Century.
