MLB: Major Trade

A Major trade has taken place in Major League Baseball, within 24 hours the All-Star Game that was won by the American League.

Vice-President and General Manager Jim Bowden has announced that the Nationals traded Pitcher Zach Day, J.J. Davis, and player or money to be decided later for Colorado Rockies Outfielder Preston Wilson.

Wilson comes onto an already hot team that currently holds 1st place in the National League East.

First half stats for Wilson are as follows; 258 with 15 doubles, 15 home runs and 45 RBI in 71 games.

Side Notes

The Nationals will open up a on road trip starting tomorrow night against the Brewers before heading back to Washington for six game homestand with three against Colorado and three against Huston.

In another trade, the Colorado Rockies got Eric Byrens from the Oakland Athletics.

Rockies have placed Zach Day on their roster and J.J. Davis has been sent to the clubs Triple-A Franchise, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
