Causes Of Female Infertility: Discover Them HERE
Also known as PID, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease in a woman results from bacterial infections on her reproductive organs, intestine within the pelvic area and appendix. The fallopian tube gets blocked as the infection reaches there. This result in turn blocks the egg in it s way to uterus and thus, causing infertility. Caused by a bacterium called Chlamydia trachomatis, PID is a Sexulally Transmitted Infection (STI). Its medical name is Salpingitis.
PID may also be the result of Pelvic Tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is one of the growing global health problems that are almost unchecked in the developing countries. The aftermaths of abortion done under non-sterile conditions may also cause female infertility. Such conditions occur when the reproductive organs are exposed to organisms that are likely to cause infections.
Female infertility can also be related to Endometriosis (around 30% of infertility) but whether Endometriosis alone can cause infertility or if it is only a factor contributing partly to it is a matter of research. Nevertheless, most women who are infertile have been diagnosed to be suffering from Endometriosis.
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS is another commonly known factor that causes infertility in women. Females suffering from this syndrome produce excessively high amount of male hormone from their ovaries. The excessive production of androgen in women affected with PCOS happens to lower the hormone level that stimulates follicle. As a result of this the follicles fail to produce a matured egg which ultimately negates the possibility of conception. Besides, the failed follicles become swelled with fluids and take the form of cysts. With more and more follicle turning into cysts, the ovary enlarges causing a host of complications other than infertility.
Premature Ovarian Failure is an example where nature plays a negative role in providing normal functioning of the ovaries. This is witnessed by depletion of follicles that starts occurring previous to the age of menopause (forty or more). This condition is clinically referred to as Early Menopause, and is considered to be an important cause of infertility in women. These women get little chance to conceive naturally and have to take the help of appropriate fertility treatment.
Hypothalamic Amenorrhea is also likely to cause infertility in women. In this case, due to disturbances in the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal system and the thyroid gland, menstruation stops.
Women suffering from uterine fibroids, especially those that grow under the uterine cavity lining, known as sub-mucosal uterine fibroid can also become infertile. Uterine fibroids can cause heavy bleeding, miscarriage and infertility in women. Cervical Infertility which includes Non-receptive cervical mucus and Cervical Stenosis, the sperm fails to pass through the mouth of the uterus due to obstruction or stenos and it also fails to travel to the uterus due to inadequate cervical mucus.
The bottom-line is that female infertility is not curable through conventional therapies and treatments as these never try to find out the actual cause of infertility. These remedies can only suggest assisted reproduction techniques and medications. On the other hand, Holistic remedies first finds out the real causes of female infertility and then suggest remedies ranging from Chinese medicines to acupuncture to changes in diet to herbs and exercise. Over the years, holistic remedies have successfully proved to be the better and wiser approach to treat female infertility.
