Autographed Baseballs Still Popular with Collectors

Rich Mueller
The recent National Sports Collectors Convention proved that autographed baseballs are still among the most popular elements of the memorabilia hobby. They're still favored by collectors who seek autographs of past and present stars. Dozens lined up to add a name to a team-signed ball or to have a famous player put his name on a brand new, white official baseball as part of a "single signed" baseball collection.

A hand-signed baseball is easy to display and usually tells a story. Signed autographed balls from individual players past and present are one way to collect. Another is to garner those relating to a specific team or event.
