Is Public Education Against America?

Is public education against America? America's educational system has been hijacked. At one time public education was thoroughly Christian, but today an entire generation has been taught to believe there are no rights or wrongs. Intelligent Design isn't even allowed as an elective because it's too religious.
Kirby Anderson, host of Point of View Radio Program, is the spokesman for the late Marlin Maddox regarding his book Public Education Against America. Tim LaHay wrote, "Atheists, socialists, and liberals control our educational system so that public education has become anti-God and anti-American. And sadly our taxes pay for it. But even worse we place our future, the millions of our precious children, in this toxic environment."
There's no diversity on campus. Frank Luntz survey of American colleges found:
1. 84% of professors polled voted for Al Gore in 2000
2. When asked to name the best president the past 40 years - the impeached Bill Clinton won.
3. When asked about party affiliation only 3% of professors were Republican
School officials in Hampton VA ordered a Christian student to eliminate the word Easter from the annual food drive since the word might offend students of other faiths. Easter isn't even a Christian word. It's a pagan word from Ishtar, but because it's associated with Christ, it's out. Yet Mother Earth Day, a New Age religious celebration, is celebrated without question.
Many adults know that kids are having a hard time, but they don't fully realize what the enemy is doing to destroy kids. Think of this; of all the nations in the world which nation would Satan most likely select to win over? America. To change this nation, which group would Satan most likely target? It would be the impressionable, little children, right? So all the powers of hell - from across the universe - are attacking America in its most vulnerable spot - where children are learning - America's public schools. Yet Christians don't see this spiritual war is right in their local public schools! This is the target of the enemy but this is where 90% of Christian children go all week as the churches sit empty.
It's a well documented fact that the percentage of evangelical Christians has been steadily diminishing but look at this pattern of the drastic diminution of each generation of Christians in America:
65% of the Builder Generation (born from 1910 to 1946) are evangelical
35% of Boomers (born from 1946 to 1964) are evangelical
15% of Busters (those born from 1965 to 1976 are evangelical
4% (projected) of Bridgers, or Millennials (born after 1977) are or will be evangelical.
Jesus said a student will be like his teacher. How can Christians expect a Christian child to become a Christian when he's sent to a non-Christian school system? There's nothing Christian about a humanist education. We're in a spiritual war. But where in the Bible do you read about God's army putting little children on the front lines?
Jesus said, seek first the Kingdom of Heaven..." How does a child learn to seek first the Kingdom of Heaven when they're in a school system that makes God IRRELEVANT? Jesus said, "The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind." How can a Christian child love the Lord with ALL his mind when he's in a humanist school all day and God is ignored? The reality is we are losing nearly 9 out of 10 young Christians who leave church never to return.
A Christian mother said she couldn't get involved with the homosexual indoctrination at her son's school because "God has called her to gardening."
"Pray for our Christian leaders who are weak, fearful and money conscious more than they are concerned about our children's salvation. They are throwing Christian children into Satan's most deadly spiritual snake pit and expecting them to come out Christians." (Dr Robert Simonds in June' o6 President's Report (Citizens for Excellence in Education).
Exit Strategy
If a stranger asked to borrow your car, you'd refuse. Yet, when it comes to children, most parents trustingly hand over something far more valuable - their children - to people in their local schools they know nothing about. The facts are in! 94% of home schooled children continue in the Christian faith compared to 80-90% of Christians who go to public school that leave the faith. Ray Moore, founder of Exodus Mandate, gives solid, Biblical reasons why parents are choosing to educate their children at home or send them to Christian schools. Parents need to hear this before choosing their school.
The Case for Home Schooling
What a person believes at age 13 is for the most part, what they will believe for the rest of their lives. Parents! How can you protect your child's beliefs? Research shows 94% of home schooled children keep the faith of their parents. But 80-90% of public schooled Christians lose their faith. Have you considered home schooling? The man most responsible for making home schooling legal is attorney Chris Klicka of the Home School Legal Defense Association and author of Home Schooling - The Right Choice. Chris talks about his spiritual maturation through his suffering with multiple sclerosis.
"In a 2005 study of 1,643 full time faculty at 183 four-year schools commissioned by the Randolph Foundation, 72% of teachers described themselves as liberal, while just 15% identified themselves as conservative. Even worse, at elite schools, 87% are liberal and only 13% are conservative. In case you don't think this liberal monopoly over education doesn't benefit liberals - know this: the only demographic group that Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry won in the 2004 election was the 18 to 29 year old's."
