Being a textile designer myself, tie-n-dye has been one of the techniques which I have applied a lot in my creations." The plethora of colours which appears in this art of dyes really comes out well on the fabrics. Talking about the colour palette, she revealed that coral, light pink, blue, salmon, turquoise and red are used extensively.
Since the designer is targeting contemporary women between the age group of 25-60 years, the collection presents a subtle yet trendy look with very minimal embellishments which have been accentuated by a bit of shine sprinkled everywhere. Clothes have been adorned with yellow and blue coloured stones, with touches of Swarovski crystals which offer a sophisticated look to the ensembles. Borrowing inspiration from the Indian sari drapes, the silhouettes are underlined with full body drapes which according to the designer are simple yet slightly tweeted. Stocked at the Samsaara store, the collection comprises tunics, dresses, gowns and kurtis. "Kurtis are going to be a big style statement even in the next season. These are wardrobe essentials." she concluded.
