DUBAI—Osama bin Laden released a tap that praised the dead leader of Iraq's al-Qaeda, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Bin Laden promised that al Qaeda will continue its fight against US forces, and allies “everywhere.”

The audio tape, believed to be the voice of bin Laden said that “The lion of jihad...al-Zarqawi...was killed in a US raid. We hope to God he accepts him as a martyr.”

Bin Laden said to President Bush “Don't be too happy, for the banner (of al Qaeda in Iraq) hasn't dropped but has passed from one lion of Islam to another lion.”

Bin Laden said that “We will continue, God willing, to fight you and your allies everywhere, in Iraq and Afghanistan and in Somalia and Sudan until we waste all your money and kill your men and you will return to your country in defeat as we defeated you before in Somalia.”

Abu Hamza al-Muhajir has been named as Zarqawi's successor for al Qaeda in Iraq. Al Qaeda, as well as Muhajir have vowed vengeance against US forces for the death of Zarqawi according to a video tape released earlier this month by al-Qaeda's second in command Ayman al-Zaqahri.

Bin Laden, considered the mastermind behind the September 11, 2001 suicide hijack attacks in the United States, has eluded U.S. forces in Afghanistan, as have Zawahri and former Taliban chief Mullah Omar.
