FedEx And Office Max Inc. Announce New Agreement
There are some locations including Memphis where FedEx is headquartered and Chicago that have already begun taking packages from small businesses and customers.
This move comes after both companies have felt a hit from the recession with FedEx having dropped the past 14 quarters and to improve this they made the $2.4 billion dollar purchase of Kinko´s that are know known as FedEx Office.
Office Max has had its own problems with the recession, according to T. Michael Glenn, who is the executive vice president of FedEx. All in all, providing a service to the customer and the small business is designed to help FedEx retail and ground shipping. The exact terms of the deal have not been released, but the new service is planned to begin in July, August and be complete by the September 30th date that was released to the public.
