AT&T Park in San Francisco,CA-

Left Handed Pitcher Jonathan Sanchez of the San Francisco Giants pitched a no-hitter tonight against the San Diego Padres. The first no-hitter in the MLB 2009 season and marks the first no-hitter for the Giants since 1976.

His slider being a great pitch and a fastball that kept the Padres guessing all night.

110 pitches,77 strikes,No walks,11 strike outs. Sanchez was perfect for seven innings.

Sanchez would have had the perfect game if not for third baseman Juan Uribe's error in the 8th. It would have been the 18th perfect game in the 132 years of MLB history.

Aaron Rowland the gold glove center fielder saved this no-hitter in the ninth with a huge leaping catch in center field.

There was talk of Sanchez being traded last week, that may all change after this game. He was 0-4 in June and pulled out of the teams rotation.

Randy Johnson, the last to pitch a perfect game in 2004 was out because of an injured shoulder giving the 26 year old Sanchez the start for tonight's game.

With his Father in the crowd this made it all that more special as he looked on to see his son make history.

The pitch and it was over,Sanchez's Father jumping up and down with excitement. His teammates stormed the field in celebration of this victory and the pitcher that he replaced,Randy Johnson also was there to congratulate him along with his Father whom made his way to the dugout from his seat to embrace his son.

The Giants win 8-0 against the Padres
