Driver Arrested For Suspicion of DUI After Highway 91 Crash
According to the California Highway Patrol the crash occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 91 in the vicinity of Gypsum Canyon Road. There was a SigAlert issued after the driver of a Toyota T 100 pickup swerved out of a lane striking at least three other vehicles.
The driver that has not been identified was given a field sobriety test by the California Highway Patrol and arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at the scene of the accident according to Officer G.M. Bell.
The driver of the truck rolled over the truck after striking three or four cars according to the California Highway Patrol Officer G.M. Bell. There was at least one person that was transported to the hospital after the accident and their condition was not released.
The truck had been carrying a load of nails and a special magnet had to be brought to the scene of the accident to clean up the nails that had covered the highway during the accident and rollover.
