Michael Jackson Is Not Dead
Since MJ kicked the bucket, a string of conspiracy theories has been dominating mainstream media. The most persistent one being that the singer faked his own death to escape the harsh media spotlight and his impending bankruptcy.
Hard to believe – so consume with a pinch of salt.
MJ has passed on as a matter of fact, but no music deity will ever be able to surpass his outstanding works of art.
I grew up idolizing Michael Jackson – the first two words I ever mistook for a definition.
From ´Thriller´ (which was the world´s best-selling album of all time), to his subsequent esteemed studio albums such as ´Bad´, ´Dangerous´, ´History´ and the forgettable, 'Invincible'. His well-wishers cherished them all because he never failed to deliver the platter.
The media, on the other hand, constantly made a mockery of his existence, but they are somewhat restoring their tarnished accountability by celebrating the life of a music genius.
Indeed, he was simply weeks away from reigning as a comeback kid.
But speculations were emerging that the King was suffering from some physical and psychological setbacks. His 50-year-old heart was under pressure, and the stress resulting from his legal, financial and emotional problems was taking a toll on his body.
Was he on drugs? Was he a child molester? Was he broke? Was he a cosmetic freak show?
Questions I fail to comprehend because I saw beyond the veneer – and in lucidity – I fell in love with a famed musician, an incredible dancer, a humanitarian and an enduring inventor, who will go on to inspire music aficionados and artistes for generations to come.
So with much love and respect, I can genuinely assert that Michael Jackson is not dead. His presence will be eternally imbued in his music.
In reality, there is no end to MJ.
In his case, death is only the beginning.
