John Stossel Goes Bonkers: Michael Jackson Coverage Bumps His Program
I am sick of the Michael Jackson coverage,' the '20/20' co-host wrote on his blog page at abc.com. 'I hate it that ABC didn't run my piece.'
He was apparently upset after the network decided to hold his piece on Canada's health-care system -- set to air last Friday night, the day after Jackson died -- in favor of a memorial to the King of Pop."

Americans care more about pop culture than they do about geopolitics or Canada's health care system. The death of the King of Pop was one of those transcendent events in American history that demands wall-to-wall coverage. ABC would have been negligent not to bump the inconsequential Stossel program to allow more time to the death of Michael Jackson.
John Stossel has an inflated ego, and the crux of the matter is that he's steaming mad because his big head wasn't on the air. Stossel rants: I hate it that ABC didn't run MY piece. The egomaniac didn't say: I hate it that ABC didn't run the piece about Canada's health care system. It's all about "Me, Me, Me," for Stossel.
Stossel has disrespected the memory of Michael Jackson, and his fans should respond by boycotting "20/20."
When Stossel dies even ABC won't devote more than a minute to covering his demise. Stossel should get over his jealousy of the King of Pop and publicly apologize.
