You Are What You Believe You Are
A short time ago I made a profound discovery. One that made me think in a different way every waking moment, one that made me realise why I haven't been able to have some of my goals in spite of my working hard and attentively towards them.
That discovery came about not by chance. After a while of working hard, working smart, working long hours towards one of my goals and not achieving it, I decided to ask myself, over and over again the question, What do I have to do to achieve my goal?
I suppose by the process of the Law of Attraction, I come across the word 'beliefs' in a book I was reading, and that word stuck out like a sore thumb and for some reason I was incapable of getting that word out of my mind.
In a short while, I uncovered the truth.
And this is it: For you to achieve your goals and aspirations, your dreams and desires, you first need to identify what your fundamental beliefs are about that goal or dream. It is imperative that you find out which of those fundamental beliefs are in line with your goal and which ones aren't.
If your beliefs are in alignment, your journey will have much less resistance. However, if your core beliefs are not in alignment, it is highly unlikely that you will achieve it.
Those beliefs that are not in alignment with your desire for that goal are your limiting beliefs, your sabotaging beliefs. They will stop you cold. They will not allow you to achieve your goal.
During certain times while on the journey, you might think that you are making some headway, but in the long run, you are not progressing as much as you want to.
It was when you challenge and eliminate the fundamental, limiting beliefs and instil powerful self enhancing beliefs and have them working with you will you I realise the goal that you have aspired.
If you are still struggling, perhaps not progressing or progressing slowly in living the life that you want, or to manifest the goal that you want, you must first recognise the beliefs that are holding you back, single them out and eliminate them.
How?
Say you want to have high self confidence whilst giving a marketing presentation. Say to yourself, "I am giving the best presentation of my life next week." Then notice and make note of all the "Yeah, but…" or "No way. You're going to stutter all the way through" or "You'll be a nervous wreck."
These are your fundamental beliefs that you will need to challenge and eliminate, and then replace them with powerful self enhancing beliefs. You are what you believe you are, so set the beliefs of a successful, happy and wealthy person; one who enjoys life to the fullest.
