Radical Somali Cleric Reportedly Injured in Fighting in Somalia

Fighting between Hizbul Islam and Al- Shabab and Ahlu Sunna Waljama Islamist fighters that has again started in Wabho town in central Somalia on Friday. Reports say that the Radical cleric Dahir Aways was injured by shrapnel. according to eyewitnesses he is now being treated in Elbur district Hospital. Sufis captured the city from Shabab after fierce fighting in the city recently. "we have killed more 40 khawarijiin, wounded hundreds and destroyed the enemy Sheekh Cabdi Risaaq Ashcari an officer for Sufi forces told reporters. the ahlu Sunah waljamacah has been angered recently by the desecration of the graves of revered Sufi leaders by the al-Shabab militants. Since then the Sufis have been fighting against alshabab in the Central regions where they captured many cities from the Shabab. Somalia has not had a functioning central government since 1991.
