Perhaps Pravda is Telling the Truth

There was a time when the Communist daily paper Pravda, which means truth in Russian, was anything but. It carried the party line of the Communist dictatorship which had enslaved the world´s largest country. Ordinary Russians huddled in basements and forests to listen to illegal short-wave radio broadcasts from Voice of America hoping to hear the truth, praying they wouldn´t be caught since listening to proscribed broadcasts was a crime and meant disappearing into the feared gulag.
Today Omerica shuffles along listening to ABS, NBS and CBS or they tune into the cable networks and hear the same thing. It sounds as if one script has been disseminated to all the broadcasters and they all repeat the same message. The scariest part of all is that my neighbors seem to believe what they are being force fed. Day after day I speak to people who repeat what the shills have regurgitated the night before as if it was their own opinions based upon their own thought.
Today I had an eye-opening experience. I spent several hours waiting for some auto repairs. In the waiting room there were several others waiting for their vehicle and being the talkative sort I struck up a conversation. The two men were both about my age, late middle age and the conversation soon turned to the bail-outs, the rapid socialization of our once capitalist system and the fact that the debt load was becoming unsustainable. Then as we parted both men expressed their belief that President Obama was going to solve all these problems and that we finally were going to get change we can believe in. I agree that we most certainly were going to get some radical change believe it or not. I was shocked by the disconnect. This is like catching a thief in your living room and then going back to bed thankful that at least there was someone awake in the house to protect the family.
Instead of praising the latest 5 year plan now Pravda is warning the people of America not to descend into the land of O. They mock us as sheeple blindly following a false Mosses into a centrally-planned promised land. They say that the American people are falling without a whimper. It is good to remember that when communism was imposed upon the Russian people they fought a civil war which raged for years with millions of casualties. And they see us marching lock-step into the camps murmuring "We are the freest people on Earth."
The author of the Pravda piece rehearses how we followed the smoke and mirrors of political correctness from surrendering our religion to surrendering our liberty. Reading this wake-up call from former slaves to future ones it´s easy to hear the echoes of the Frankfurt School and their program to bring about the victory of progressivism in the United States. Championed by the leaders of both parties in the early 20th century both Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson were progressives. FDR was a progressive and today the liberals who have brought us to the brink of disaster pride fully re-assert the name as they seek to forge the shackles of central-planning and absolute government control on the dumbed down masses. Unelected Czars appointed but never confirmed take control of more and more as the people worship at the altar of American Idol oblivious to the terror that lurks in the distance..
Now we´ve had our own November Revolution and as Pravda points out the collapse of the traditional American capitalist system is happening with breath-taking speed. Within months of assuming power the Obamaniacs have nationalized the largest insurance company in the world, the largest auto manufacturer in the world, are firing and hiring CEOs replacing boards of directors and printing money at a Zimbabwean rate. Meanwhile, the battle is just heating up for the take-over of health care and soon we will all have the right to get our name on a government waiting list. And while continuing to say they are cutting taxes for those who pay no income taxes they push for a VAT tax to pay for this health care overhaul that´s supposed to save us money. This VAT tax will crush everyone under its oppressive weight and help bring the economy to a standstill.
Just a few months ago Russia´s Prime Minister Putin tried to warn the leaders of America not to go down the socialist path. He spoke of the decades of suffering and stagnation it had cost his country. Many of us have seen this coming for years. We have tried our best to spread the word, to alert others that the totalitarians were reaching for America´s jugular through our schools and our government. But the siren song of the Main Stream Media has lulled our nation into a hypnotic trance where they can see what is happening. They can see that our freedom is slipping away. And they still vote for change they can believe in. Will we sink beneath the yoke without a whimper? Or will we stand up and cry, "Give me liberty or give me death!"
