The Blue Screen of Disclosure: Beware of Geeks Bearing GIFs

We Extraterrestrial proponents frequently make use of modified versions of the Drake Equation[i] to demonstrate the probability that interstellar, inter-dimensionally ambulatory species would most likely be peaceful, or at least benign, based on that specie´s implied survival of local hostility and highly technological wars, such as nuclear annihilation. It is believed that by its mere existence, a highly advanced species would by definition have avoided all the perils and pitfalls of empire, which we humans seem hampered by in our quest for peaceful space-time travel development. On the other hand, perhaps those advanced species were simply better at what we do than we are, or maybe they had help.
The Drake Equation states (loosely speaking), among other variables, that the probability of ´advanced intelligent life´ in the universe is a function of the percent planets where life has not, through technology, managed to annihilate itself before reaching an interstellar travel or communication capability. While this variable does not exist in the classic model, a variation of the L variable – Lifespan of Culture – may suffice.
Perhaps a more realistic modification of this variable would be to identify it as the percentage of planets where the dominant life form´s philosophical perspective has ascended rapidly enough to eliminate competition, thereby avoiding aggressive resistance which would have resulted in world wide annihilation. An example in our time might be the (seeming) ascendancy of capitalism over communism – wherein the threat of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) has passed, and the Cold War has seemed to end. One of course might debate the current level of success of either philosophy, or even the demise of the Cold War itself. Ironically, capitalism may be the epitome of MAD.
Homo Sapiens seemed to gain ascendancy over the Neanderthal, but was the former inherently more enlightened, more advanced than the latter?
It could be argued that there are equal probabilities of benign and malignant species prevalent throughout the universe, and that this probability might be on the order of 50% one or the other. It might also be shown that the successful species might in fact tend toward aggressive and highly exploitative character traits, and that robust genetics and cultural agility were the protections against self destructive consequences, rather than a higher innate ´goodness´, or cosmic consciousness.
A second variation on this theme of planetary species survival would be the manner of philosophical ascent, whether internally or externally sponsored. That is, of the ascendant philosophies of either ilk (good or evil), were the contributing factors of that ascendancy from that planet or from some other? Do all successful species someday simply and inevitably get a hand from extraterrestrials?
For instance, consider an inherently hostile species, on some other planet, obtaining weapons of control beyond any endemic variety from a visiting culture of highly advanced technology. This species would gain immediate ascendancy over all prevailing life forms, and thus eliminate the possibility of any local and suicidal annihilation. But would this visiting, developing species be classed as benign? Would this not be some kind of Star Trekkian "Prime Directive" practiced in reverse?
Given the pattern of human exploration (and subsequent exploitation) it were the consistently more hostile, more imperial and less enlightened nations poking into new frontiers. Kingdoms and corporations combined to move mankind across the planet and open new trading areas, at the expense of whatever indigenous life forms were present, regardless of the consequences. Up through the manned space flight program, the child of 20th century cold war politics and technology, nations have subsidized and developed their exploration of foreign spaces with their military might. To make the assumption that most potential visitors to this planet are benign and highly ethical based simply on their ability to perform technological feats beyond our comprehension is patently naive.
The assumption could be strongly made that if indeed our visitors are benign and ethical, then they are an oddity in nature. Where nature and survival favor the strong, the fit, the aggressive, the cunning and clever, there can be little doubt of the intentions of an arriving culture. Persistent influential efforts to investigate and infiltrate a foreign culture, particularly those types of actions comprised of long-term efforts that remain clandestine, enigmatic and covert is a hallmark of human espionage and a component of control and domination. Actions speak louder than words.
Consider the legend of Troy, wherein a great gift of unimaginable proportions turns out to be unlike anything that was expected. Consider the axiom "Nothing is Free" and the prevalence of the ´Trojan Virus´ in modern parlance. "Beware of Greeks baring gifts" can today be revised to "Beware of Geeks baring GIFs".
We Extraterrestrial enthusiasts believe supremely significant events occurred, particularly in the mid 1900´s, and are being kept secret to this day. We are hoping to place pressure on our government(s) to release information relevant to these events of a magnitude to force full and open disclosure. But perhaps the mitigation for the secrecy is obvious. Has our government(s) found themselves in similar circumstances as the Trojans?
Have they opened the gates and let in, quite willingly, a Gift of Technology from foreigners? We all know that this technology has the potential to ameliorate most all the ills of our planet. We are aghast at the arrogance our government(s) demonstrates in keeping this information from us, particularly when the evidence is so pervasive and the testimony of former members of those governments and their cohort corporate associates have so clearly and unequivocally announced the reality of what we so ardently believe.
It was believed that a torrent of faxes[ii], emails and letters to President-Elect Obama would be the inspiration for him to open the records on these events, and tell the people what has been going on for the last 60 years, ending the Truth Embargo. President Obama´s first actions of picking cabinet members[iii] who were agreeable to the concepts of Disclosure and his signing of executive orders[iv] promoting transparency and openness were indeed hopeful signs. Warnings of a "strategic shock" in the first eight months of the new administration, issued by the Army War College[v], seem, perspicaciously, to have come true. The ´urgent´ and massive financial crisis drained everyone´s energy and focus for anything but the economy. Let us neither forget recent ´pirates´ and ´the flu´. Sadly, there seems to have been some resorting of priorities in the new administration, as was predicted by the defense establishment. Even the Republicans are pointing[vi] to these shifts as signs of ´business as usual´.
Recently, President Obama was in Las Vegas[vii]. There exists a geographic connection between Las Vegas and Groom Lake, or, Area 51. McCarran Airport[viii] is the gateway for employees and personnel as they make their daily commute to this classified but well-known military base[ix]. Eventually, all presidents get ´the briefing´, to one extent or another. But today the President operates on a ´need-to-know´ basis regarding the activities at this notorious location, and the events associated with the extraterrestrial presence. And to no small degree, ET presence management has gone from the sole control of the military intelligence community into the domain of private corporations[x] and the central intelligence community, as has the remainder of our once proud country.
We can but hope that this proximity to Groom Lake was an effort on the part of President Obama to peek behind the curtain, and not simply mere coincidence (the kind that never happen in politics). And hopefully it was not a dog-and-pony show to prove the innocuous but justifiably secretive nature of the proceedings there, to an interested but overwhelmed President. Knowing that Eisenhower[xi] insinuated something enormous was behind the scenes, and that Kennedy[xii] was probably assassinated mainly for threatening to make these claims public, President Obama must give careful consideration to the ominous possibilities assoCIAted with any possible honest, though unilateral, disclosure.
In any event, the Revelation is inevitable. Truth will prevail. The problem is, generally speaking, the truth hurts. As he absorbs more of this truth, through channels we have no access to whatsoever, by virtue of his power, position and charismatic personality, President Obama will be faced with a decision that might change your perspectives about everything. The reality of an Authentic Full Disclosure will be so earthshaking that to reveal it will mean the full collapse of capitalism, and indeed nationalism, as it is currently understood. Indeed, the very foundations of most religion will be shaken as Full Disclosure impacts our understanding of the origin of man, the matter at the very heart of the Truth Embargo. All the nations of the earth will mourn the loss of these time-tested, profitable institutions. And the Revealer will be placed in a position of awe and reverence beyond any predecessor, and will be at the same time the object of such anger and vengeance that his presence might jeopardize the safety of whichever country he resides in. The truth hurts, and when hurt, people usually respond violently. Violent response by a nuclear nation is not a good thing.
Authentic Full Disclosure will not arrive with our Visitors on the Lawn of the White House, the United Nations Building nor at 10 Downing, nor at the next Bilderberg Meeting. It will not come in news conferences, or presidential fireside chats, Obama in sweater and house shoes, with a pipe. It will arrive when we are all in more or less of a lock-down situation, unable to react in mass, fearful for our own survival, perhaps hiding in caves and surely financially constrained. Witness the types of social control mechanisms1 spawned by the events of 911, and the tolerance of oppressive measures in the interest of security. Communications will be highly controlled, if available at all, and will be predominately simplex and unidirectional. Witness the transition to highly controllable cell phone technology and the general abandonment of land line communications, and the dependence upon satellite communications as well as the switch to DTV from the analog systems of the past. Disclosure will come at such a time that it will seem not as a threat, but as a rescue. Resistance will be patchy and isolated, though there is a potential for uncontrollable escalation, particularly by what are today termed Fundamentalist Regimes.
Disclosure will arrive at a time when we are psychologically prepared to accept major changes – such as at the well-publicized Y2K of this generation, 12/21/2012 or perhaps some acute ravages of Global Warming, flood, famine and pestilence. The requisite emotions will be present for us to accept Disclosure in that we will hold harmless all wrongs done in the name of the Truth Embargo (who cares, I´m hungry) and we will be open and amenable to a completely new way of life (whatever, just FEED ME!). A great many, perhaps one in three, will not attain to this new perspective, though the pressure will be great. But the nature of the preceding events and the lack of reliable, free information [xiii] will make the neutralization of these individuals, few though they may be, easy and discreet. There will most probably be reports and media coverage of a couple of notorious resisters, terrorists, and we will see them dispatched with extreme prejudice. We are already quite prepared to accept torture[xiv] and terrorist elimination.
Had Priam known just what he had allowed into the city, he might have informed the Trojans before they were swept away by the Grecian challengers. It is not probable that he would have kept this inevitable disaster secret, and not at all for the pretense of national security. But the people of Troy had not yet been adjusted by thousands of years of cultural cultivation and decades of technological husbandry. They would have undoubtedly risen to meet the challenge. However we are prisoners of our social constructs, and slaves to the technology we depend on for our very lives. We, unlike the Trojans, are ridiculously outmatched by our visitors, who are theoretically in possession of the means, if not the permission, to eradicate us completely from this planet.
The end of the Truth Embargo ipso facto means the end of human government as it has come to be known. This is the actual gift we are asking for, know it or not. We are asking for the abdication of (perceived) human hegemony over this planet. Ultimately, this is the request. And to force this issue, it is painfully apparent that only a minor intrusion into a critical infrastructure system, such as the likes of a belligerent Gary McKinnon, could spontaneously generate the Blue Screen of Death computer crash that dominoes the world into the locked-down condition needed for this shift in paradigm. This is one of, if not the most important, reasons that cyber security is such an important issue. And all of the events from the day after Roswell, the Robertson Panel Report, the Working Groups and the Projects ad nauseum, assassinations, abandoned space programs, through the events in preparation for Y2K and the subsequent bizarre, improbable occurrences of the Bush administration, including 911, and the surrealistic, catastrophic failure of the financial markets allowed by those we call 'experts', were but human government's effort to retain control and renege on agreements made by previous and ill-advised administrations.
And so they are indeed wary today of Geeks bearing GIFs.
