North Korea´s War Game

World attention suddenly concentrated in one country –North Korea. After the second nuclear test tension rises to the pick in the whole region. World opinion is critical against North but they have little care on the criticism. Now they are showing belligerent attitude threatened to attack South Korea if they do any misconduct like checking North bound ships.
South Korea however is not taking the threat lightly. They have strengthened their border along with the US troops based on South Korea. Yet North Korea is not showing any sign of calm down. Rather they have tested 6 more short and medium range missile when UN was adopting newer sanction against North Korea.
In fact North Korea´s all these actions came all of a sudden without any prior warnings. World was astonished when one morning they have learned North Korea has tested their second nuclear device. After testing they demand an apology from UN which criticized North Korea´s action couple of weeks ago when North Korea launched a ballistic missile claiming that as a satellite.
Analysts are now analyzing why North Korea suddenly raged. Some believes North Korea´s ailing leader Kim Jong Il is showing his strength to the nation. Kim wants to make his youngest son his successor in the Asia´s oldest communist dynasty. It is important to bring the nation under one roof before anything happens to him. This is an opportunity for him to show his muscle to his people. May be he wants to prove North Korean people he is not weak.
Up until now no body thinks North Korea has the ability to continue any war for so long. Entangled with extreme poverty and internationally isolated North Korea needs to feed its 22 million people in coming days. In their difficult moment neighboring China and Russia is their close ally. But this time they are also irritated and denounced North Korea´s action. Russia has already urged North to calm down which seems little effect on them.
If North Korea will start a war what will happen? It won´t be easy for them to fight against the world opinion. The main fear is if they found war is not going as per their way they could choose something more destructive like using nuclear bomb housing inside a missile or some other way. North Korean missile could reach America´s western coast. So any nuclear warhead of North Korea could be very deadly. Although experts believe still North Korea is several years behind from putting a nuclear device inside a missile but there is no way to take the threat mildly. North Korean nuclear facilities can produce enough plutonium to make at least half a dozen atomic bombs.
Countries of the world are now considering how effectively they can enforce North Korea to stop its nuclear project. US is optimistic if China and Russia interfere that could inspire North Korea to step down from its nuclear ornamentation. Though, things are depending on North Korea´s comprehension of this lethal war game.
