There is a Creator

Rod Smith
Have you ever looked at the sky, stars, moon, sun, clouds, and wondered, how did it all happen?

The simple answer is it happened exactly as the Bible says in Genesis. It was created. Nothing happens unless it is created. A painting has to have a painter, a house has to have a builder.

There is a "big bang" theory put forward, that somehow the world as we know it was created by a huge explosion. Did you ever see anything created by an explosion? No, it destroys. In August 1945, Nagasaki and Hiroshima were destroyed by enormous explosions from atom bombs. It took much human labour to rebuild those cities. The bombs did not create anything except death and human misery, whether the motive for the bombing was right or not.

As for evolution, when two monkeys copulate they produce another monkey. Two dogs mating produce a dog, two cats a cat, and so on. Did you ever see a gorilla design a house? It cannot have, never did have, the brain capacity of a human being. That is how God made monkeys.

What the Bible says about creation being the work of God is logical. Think of all the variety of life on Planet Earth: the many species and colours, characteristics, of animals, reptiles, birds, flowers, trees, shrubs. Surely done by a Master Designer.

We human beings are marvels of creation by a higher power, who is God. We have thousands of nerve endings, Our every action starts with a thought in the brain – itself amazingly complex. We have a constantly recycling blood supply pumped by the heart. No-one else, dear reader, has your fingerprints. Your voice is unique, so are your facial features, and the iris's of your eyes.

The TV weather forecast will say exactly when the sun will rise and set tomorrow. The scientists can estimate the timing, but God makes that sun rise and set. He keeps the tide going in and out and regulates the temperature of the sun.

No scientist can bring the rain, nor can they stop it. They can send a spaceship to the moon, but God will ensure they donīt get as far as heaven without His say-so.

There is much that man can do, but also much he cannot; he cannot stop a cyclone, tidal wave, or tornado. In the middle of such situations man can only pray.

How foolish we are not to recognize God, when evidence of His work is all around us.He wants to bless us, help us, but we proudly go our own way, ignoring God - until one day it is too late. Around the world millions have realized the truth.

How will we know God? The Bible tells us the only way to God is through Jesus (John 14:6) who bled on the cross to take our sin, sickness and diseases. He was dead, buried and resurrected.

If God can raise Jesus from the dead, surely raising us from the dead is not difficult for Him. All He asks is that we recognize Jesus as the Saviour, repent of our sins, trust, obey and believe in Him.

Then, dear friend, you can be sure you will see God operating in your everyday life, and for eternity.
