1,000 Random Acts of Kindness in 30 Days - Umademyday.com and BeanTowne Coffee House Partner to Make
The Challenge is simple, get a "Good Deed" card (free at either BeanTowne Coffee House or on http://UMadeMyDay.com), add your initials to the card, then perform a random act of kindness. Leave the card for the recipient and that person can then post a thank you message on the UMadeMyDay site. Hopefully, they in turn will then pay it forward. People can also participate without the cards by performing a Random Act of Kindness and posting what they did and how it made them feel on Umademyday.com.
"I would ask whoever is reading this right now to stop, actually stop and take a second and ask themselves the questions 'why not do this? why wouldn't I, with almost no effort or expense, try to make the world just a bit better?" commented Josee Archer, founder of Umademyday LLC. "now please continue reading!".
In addition to the positive feelings created by this challenge, UMadeMyDay will also be helping a local charitable organization by donating ten cents for every thank you message posted to the site during the month of May.
"Itıs been my experience through this site that even the smallest gesture can spark a chain of goodness," says Josee Archer, founder of Umademyday LLC, "we want to spark 1000 chains and positively effect the community."
At the end of the day, we could all use one more smile, one more good feeling, one more reason to feel that the world is indeed filled with good people trying to do the right thing,² said Ed Goyette of Beantowne Coffee House, ³and through Umademyday, itıs so simple to make a difference.
