With the Major League Baseball All-Star Game just over a week away, fans got one final chance to do what they knew was right and to right the wrong previously done.

After all the final internet votes were counted for the final spots on the NL and AL teams, the fans actually did right the wrong. With almost 4Million votes, fans are sending White Sox player Scott Podsednik to the All-Star Game over the media dubbed “Face of Baseball,” Derek Jeter.

As of Press-time, Posednik this season is leading the Majors with 41 steals. Along with the steals he has racked up 89 Total bases, 17 Runs Batted In, and On Base Percentage of .359 and a Slugging Average of .335.

Posednik won’t be the only person from the MLB’s team in Detroit either. He will be joined by teammates Paul Konerko, Jon Garland and Mark Buehrle.

The All-Star selection doesn’t come without many perks among those a nice bonus of

25-Thousdand-Dollars and a 75-Thousdand-Dollar raise to his 2006 salary.

Side Note: Fans selected Huston Astros Pitcher Roy Oswalt as the last NL Selection.
