GLOBAL NEW AGE CHANGING OUR THOUGHTS, ENTERTAINMENT, LIVES

Theresa J. Thurmond Morris
Nature is beautiful and so are the natural intelligent beings who live on planet earth.

There are some new changes occurring and some have to do with the new standards set by the writers, producers, special effect artists, creators, illusionists and all others in the entertainment industry. Please keep the TV series CHUCK and make more like it.

We need to have more awards to appreciate those who are needed in general positions.

The regular people we depend on behind the scenes, the regular working personnel. Why not put more shows on television like Mary Tyler Moore, and Chuck roles. The working class with regular people from North, South, East, Midwest, West, with jobs.

We need all of these people who perform jobs we do not normally appreciate. Granted we need more jobs in America and we can certainly do our part by enforcing the needs for jobs in our television shows and in our movies. Sharing the work and not greed.

This goes for most all industries but, none so much as in Hollywood. The people who work at jobs that revolve around entertainment are usually just the regular John and Jane Doe's of the world. I lived and worked with these people and appreciate the big city hustle.

Writing and social media is coming together in a way to assist ourselves in the world.

We need to begin a campaign of sharing more parts in our scripts of life dealing with all the characters we accept in life. There are those who are called the non-persons that we do not necessarily acknowledge on a daily basis like the store clerks, and the secretaries. We need to begin accepting everyone as an equal person with equal rights.

Age before beauty has always meant to accept wisdom on the inside and do not judge one by their outside appearance. Never has this lesson been brought home and been more obvious to the general populace than lately in the news and social media. good luck Centenarians. Good luck Baby Boomers. The X Generation does not have the same age gap expectancies that we did of our parents and grandparents. Welcome to the new body-mind-spirit mindset. We can all enjoy good health, better eating habits, and a healthier lifestyle together in the Global Community.

We have been taught to not judge a book by it's cover. We need some new ratings in our television and movie choices. There are some that are filled with slang and bad language. This is not good for the future. We need to be aware of ontology and words of wisdom. This can be reflected in entertainment, advertising, and marketing products and services. We tend to use the people that we look up to in entertainment and sports.

There are words of wisdom from our wise elders that we must embrace as our own future.

We are all growing older from the time we are born. Culture is important and so are we.

We should make a new natural way of awareness for our elders who will someday be us!

For instance,

ADAM LAMBERT and ELVIS type and SUSAN BOYLE a JULIE ANDREWS type that we can enjoy.

Singing and Acting sensations are setting new standards for us all.

Many middle class and middle aged public television and movie watchers are growing tired of the younger generations with the hip hop and slang garbled songs, pants hanging down. They can have their own television channels for wrappers and reality shows. I know they are popular among a certain age group but there are many others.

We need to set some new demographics for audiences in the various age groups that really appreciate television and movies as entertainment. There are changes occurring for all of us. Why not plan some shows as variety shows like Sonny and Cher, Carol Burnett, the Ed Sullivan Show. The American Idol is the closest we have. The Dancing with the Stars needs some prizes to win besides the mirror ball trophy.

I love watching the Apprentice with Donal Trump and believe it is great for training our Entrepreneurs in America. There needs to be an Apprentice Show in other countries with their own culture and host. Donald Trump can fly around country to county for taping or simply ship his speeches on air via satellite and computer while we watch.

We are becoming aware that we like to participate and now we vote on shows and our contestants with our cell phones. There are still many people who want more than what we are receiving on the many channels we can surf. The channels are grouping together in numbers depending on the genres. I learned that some parents will not allow their children to watch the Spike channel for example. They do not want it next to their children's channels. Now there can be blocks on certain channels so the entertainment industry is going to have to be more innovative about creating more general genres.

The Baby Boomers are all approaching what they thought would be retirement age but since there is no such thinking any longer, we might as well get use to the new Young 75 year olds.

William Shatner is an actor we grew up watching weekly on the Star Trek television series. ALthough William Shatner has played other roles like T.J. Hooker, and Denny Crane on Boston legal, he is still an older actor. James Spader who is Alan Shore was also one of my favorite characters as Dr. Daniel Jackson on the movie Star Gate.

We love these movies of fantasy, action, and we love our actors. We love watching them grow older and accepting new roles that we can enjoy getting older with in time.

Life is all about progress, in the present and future. We should not be ashamed to be ourselves and accept and embrace getting older. The Chinese culture respects their elders and white hair. We should now all embrace age and white hair on earth as our accepted and anticipated cultural changes to occur for all of us. Hard to tell but, the Dalai Lama is growing older with us.

No one is going to stay young. We best start acting like we can tolerate our age and wisdom with class and not disdain. Growing age is the most natural part of life.

We baby boomers grew up watching William Shatner as Captain Kirk n our homes on the television set. William Shatner was our hero on Star Trek. There have been others since but we all have or favorite and mine is William Shatner. I put his ontop with Elvis.

There was a time on earth and in America when we thought about working our whole lives at one company and retiring from that company at about the age of 65.

Retirement is outdated. The new age of revelation is teaching us to think more about good living with a body-mind-spirit frame of mind. It is now okay for women to go out of the house with only some eye liner and natural brush on natural minerals. Maybe a touch of mascara and some lip gloss or lipstick. We like to dress up but we are much more casual these days. The world embraced denim because denim jeans were practical.

We are now about to accept that the young age from 18 through 40 was not necessarily our best years and that life is over-the-hill at 40. All the marketing and advertising campaigns may want to raise the over the will to at least 60. I see more men and women both in denim jeans around the world than ever before. Causal and casual are working words that we use on a daily basis. We have our jobs and we have our hobbies. Now days, we don't want to have to change clothes three times a day.

We are working out more and purchasing casual work out suits and wearing tennis shoes.

We all just decided one day that we would be healthier and happier and run about here and there like the stars do in Hollywood. The dressing up for the red carpet is still an awesome thing to do for those in television and movies. We have come to think of stars and fashion designers as working together to add some class to admire from the side lines. But, truth is that if one looks into the crowd watching those on the red carpet, they are most likely in jeans and tennis shoes, as are the paparazzi photo buggers.

Women are wearing pant suits more since Hillary Clinton has brought them back into style. We can have short waisted jackets or longer goats to the knees for both men and women.

Men are wearing mascara and eyeliner and frankly I like it on men. It's nice to make their eyes stand out. We still believe that the eyes are the windows to the soul.

There are ways for us to appreciate fashion and the age group from 16 through 35 should be the wonders who love fashion trends. We change the looks for the fun and sale of it all. There are brand names that are cool for some but many schools don't want brand names outed on the shirts and caps. There were some thefts occurring over brand name items at public places so the new Bling has been in jewelry and accessories that could be slapped on at a moments notice. This hat, cap, and jewelry accessories now applies to both men and women of all ages and not just 18 through 28 any longer.

The working class age from 16 part time after school through 95 if one can work at that age is still allowed. If one can still drive after age 85 and pass the driver's test then so be it. We can all hope that we all live to be 120 which seems to be the new way to think. Think life in 33 1/3 intervals instead of 1/4 intervals. Life is just beginning for many of us at 66 1/2 years old. We use to consider this as retired, but no longer. Now this is the time to retool and regroup thanks to the new economic ways of the future. We have to accept jobs that will allow us to keep moving and shaking.

We now are living longer and taking better care of ourselves. We had to get over ourselves with the unhealthy fried foods and eating nothing but fast foods. We were adding to our physical selves by half again. Sometimes, we saw ourselves weighing 100 pounds too much on one physical body. We are now a culture of less diet difficulties and more about awareness with shows like The Biggest Loser. Reality stars are real people and we are now enjoying shows like The Amazing Race, and Survivor. I personally watch all three plus a few more. If I cannot make the schedule, I record them to watch late at night with Larry King, and Nancy Grace. I still love my Sci-FI and look forward to the new SGU as Stargate Universe. I look forward to seeing the new latest and greatest movie Star Trek.

However, what has surprised me most besides the Oprah Effect is the new Idol Effect.

Some great new talents are setting new standards for the global mass population to enjoy. The general mass public is accepting people for who they are not who they appear to be. We can now say that we are aware of the stage makeup and presence.

Adam Lambert is a young man with Elvis qualities like no other in many years. This young man has the looks, sweet man ways of Elvis, and can move and dance as well as Elvis could. The people both young and old like Adam and I truly believe that he will be as great a star as Elvin Presley once was while alive. Since Elvis has left the building, it is time we embrace a new male idol that can do it all. Adam can be a rock star or a Swooner of the Oldies. The girls love him both teenagers and those that were teenagers of the past when Elvis was alive and well on planet earth.

Susan Boyle is a 48-year-old woman of Scotland who also has a sweet personality. Susan has made a splash on Idol in the United Kingdom. Susan has had women and men both talking in the news and created a buzz like a famous mover and shaker of class. Susan has the most beautiful tone in her voice and vibrato. Susan reminds me of a Julie Andrews though her looks remind people more of Julia Childs. I can see Susan stealing the part of Merryl Streep on the new movie Julia Childs.

Susan Boyle could be the next Julie Andrews and I can see she and Adam both playing in a Disney movie with Susan playing the mother and Adam playing the son. The Disney and Universal Studios movie business would be perfect for these two.

We in the world are embracing older movie stars these days because we as the majority and the most in our age bracket as Baby Boomers are growing older gracefully and we accept reality much better than our grandparents did.

We grew up with not only movie stars remembering the greats as John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster, Ronald Reagan, Errol Flynn, but Elvis Presley, Connie Stevens, Debbie Reynolds, Elizabeth Taylor, and many great names on the big screen.

Now we have so many movies in so many genres that the aisles at a CD Video store take at least an hour of time to peruse the latest releases to be rented or purchased.

There are some ways to enjoy life and entertainment is one of them. Some people are into sports and the great outdoors. Some of us can still afford to see the world in spite of the high cost of fuel and plane trips. However, the general populace cannot. We are at home with our computers living in Cyber Space and taking time to be entertained with our satellite and cable connections to our new televisions.

The younger generation has their games, Wii, X-box, Nintendo, and carry around hand held computer games to play either alone or with another. We love our games.

But for the next twenty years at least, we will see some up and coming stars that can not only entertain us on television shows but, they can entertain us on the big screen as well. I love going to the movies and find that it is one of the few things I can still do with my mother and my children at the same time. A family outing is not too expensive although the tickets are approaching a high cost for middle class.

The point here is that we can all enjoy becoming older and better with our new found acceptance and awareness in knowing that we will all age and we can not be so stunned when those at age 65 do not want to have face lifts and Botox injections.

It is now okay to be healthy and natural. We are finding beauty in natural products and natural resources. We are accepting that we can do something about our lives and eat right, and perform exercises to work with our joint pain from old age.

We are learning that we can look at a man or woman at their real age and accept them at 48 years old. We are realizing that many middle class people are just that middle class and aging naturally and well.

We may all allow ourselves to adjust to various cultural ways of living and being.

We may all accept that we are all not meant to be glamorous movie stars. There are more and more television spots opening up for older actors on television shows and in commercial spots.

Now we accept that there are plus size women and larger boned girls who will never be in a size 6 as many models wear on the runways for fashion designers. We can now accept that women can be beautiful at every age and we can accept those who want to wear their hair natural and white. There are now more levels of being beautiful than ever before.

Now, there are people saying that Susan Boyle may need a makeover if she wants one. That should be her decision based on her own desires. Nevertheless, there are just as many who say that she should be herself and be natural. Not everyone is a beauty queen.

We could just as well accept Susan Boyle in a role in movies, on stage, or in a television series as we can Merryl Streep or Betty White.

I believe that Susan Boyle has come along just at the right time for all of us to recognize that it is about time we accept people for who they are and without fake facelifts. There is a natural beauty about allowing one´s self to grow in time with others on earth that are not desirous of looking plastic.

There are times to have implants and there are times to not. There are times to accept one´s age gracefully, and there are times when cosmetic surgery can enhance one´s life. If there are, people who need to have makeovers due to accidents or malformations in their facial structure then that is completely acceptable.

To be made over for the sake of pleasing others and how they see one on stage has always been part of being an actor. We can all make ourselves into actors on stage.

This is a common practice and has been for thousands of years since the Greek plays.

It is time to accept the new Stars of television and the Big Movie screen that are sharing real life events and not just stories that we dream about.

We may still want the heroes and heroines to win but the underdogs are always going to be people like us in general. The middle class pays for the rentals and the movie tickets more so than the elite do. We an accept our stars at any age, but real is better.

Share your ideas on blogs back to your favorite television and movie websites. Tell them to give the average looking Joe the Plumber and Susan the Singer the jobs and we will still tolerate the eye candy stars like Adam Lambert if we have too!

Hi Keanu. I see on Twitter that the real Keanu is really keeping busy. Can't wait for your next movie. TJTM on Twitter. Susan Boyle thanks for the messages. Don't let Simon worry you with his comments. It's show business. I will be twittering you. Good luck and hope you and Adam win.
