CRB Honors Giants of Country Radio

On March 3, the evening before the 40th annual Country Radio Seminar officially opens, CMA joins a number of other table sponsors at a dinner and ceremony at the Nashville Convention Center to honor Chuck Collier, Music Director and afternoon Broadcast Personality, WGAR/Cleveland and Gerry House, morning Broadcast Personality, WSIX/Nashville, this year's inductees into the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame, as well as Bob McKay, Program Director, WXTU/Philadelphia and Moon Mullins, Program Director and morning Broadcast Personality, WBKR/Owensboro, Ky., new members of the Country Music Radio Hall of Fame.
Country Music Hall of Fame member Merle Haggard and Shelia Shipley Biddy, President of Stringtown Records, will also be honored during the event. Haggard will receive the CRB Career Achievement Award and Shipley Biddy will be presented with the CRB President's Award.
Single tickets are $105 and sponsored tables are $2,100, with proceeds benefiting the Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame. Festivities begin with a cocktail party at 5:30 PM in the Renaissance Ballroom and dinner following at 6 PM. The event is open to CRS registrants and Hall of Fame inductees.
CRS-40 will be held March 4-6, 2009 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. On-site registration is $699. Marketing and new media expert Seth Godin will deliver the keynote address, which is included in registration package, however $40 tickets for only the keynote address is available for on-site purchase Wednesday, March 4 at 8 AM. Students with a valid ID can purchase for only $20. Godin has written bestselling books including All Marketers are Liars, Free Prize Inside, Purple Cow, Meatball Sundae and Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us.
