Summer is just around the corner and that means its time to start planning a summer vacation. Summer can be a hectic time of the year but rest assured that your stay at Chalet View Lodge will be chaos free. Our lodge is located on Highway 70 between the small tourist towns of Graeagle and Portola California. During the summer months you will find many community events and attractions that make our small area unique and relaxing. What does our property and area have to offer?
1. Chalet View Lodge
At Chalet View Lodge you will find many activities to keep your and your family busy. After checking into your classic resort room, your own private cabin, or a terrace suite; be sure to check out the pool and spa area. After taking a quick dip feel free to wander around the property where you will find a small catch and release fishing pond, bocce ball, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, and even a 6-hole executive golf course all complimentary to our guests. Make sure to visit Carey Candy Creations to pick up some souvenirs or delicious homemade candies. Feeling thirsty? Why not stop by the Starbucks coffee stand in the lobby and purchasing an espresso creation. Make reservations in our Grille to enjoy tasty appetizers and entrees prepared by our CIA Chef Adam Williams. Also be sure to ask about our Brewery and Wine Selection! Also onsite you will be able to take advantage of our Day Spa and Salon.
2. Area Offerings
Although you may not need to leave the comfort of the Lodge here are some things to do if you do venture out into the surrounding areas. In the small town of Graeagle you will find horseback riding, swimming, tennis courts, and miniature golf. Graeagle also offers many other options for fine dining such as Longboards Bar & Grill, Grizzly Grille, Coyote Grill and more. The area also boasts some beautiful 9/18-hole golf courses such as Plumas Pines, Graeagle Meadows, Whitehawk Ranch, etc. Be sure to check out all the unique gift shops throughout the town. Portola too also has many opportunities for shopping, eating, and relaxing. Why not check out the Railroad Museum or the Williams House Museum. Take a short drive to Lake Basin Area which includes Gold Lake, Upper and Lower Sardine, and many smaller, quiet, tranquil lakes. Also take a short drive to Lake Davis or other parts of the scenic Feather River.
