Sleep Deprivation Remedies - Curing Sleep Deprivation

Lewis Waller
Sleep deprivation remedies can be quite numerous, and it seems that not all of them work for everyone. To weed through them all can be quite a task indeed. The absolute worst among these, is sleeping pills – chemically forcing the brain to sleep is bad enough as it is, but by nature, these are also very addictive, especially considering that these chemicals fail in their effectiveness after about one or two months of use, and so the dependency takes a foothold. The side effects of these as well are also factors to consider.

There are also the other sleep deprivation remedies, such as hypnosis, or subliminal messages imbedded into audio tracks. Subliminal messaging actually doesn´t do anything, at least as far as relieving sleep deprivation, and hypnosis can be among the most costly of remedies, with sequential sessions lasting months, perhaps even years. The best methods with the highest reported success rates are those which use sound (without subliminal signals) in order to stimulate the brain into producing the specific brainwaves which are most conducive to sleep.

For a while, the most effective of all sleep deprivation remedies was a very interesting technique known as binaural therapy, using two very slightly different frequencies through stereo headphones. The out-of-sync frequencies would be translated by the brain as one sound when the brain processed the information, resulting in the production of certain brainwaves such as alpha and beta waves, inducing sleep.

The major drawback with this method was the need to use stereo headphones – just try and get some sleep with headphones on, and without knocking them off or having them wake you up. This is where the use of isochronic pulses and tones had taken the lead… they are the most recent development, not requiring any stereo headphones and uses a regular CD player. Using isochronic pulses and tones to develop healthy sleep patterns is the best of all sleep deprivation remedies, due to it´s convenience, ease of use, and safety – absolutely zero side effects, and non addictive.
