New Your City Woman Hurt in Auto Accident Shares Love and Holidays with Foster Kids
Sonya Arrington, 40, will now have a life full of activity and meaning. Two new foster sons age 5 and 7 would infuse her life with energy, love and joy.
Arrington said. "It´s fun having some little people running around. I had stopped doing everything because of the accident. They keep me busy but they are sweet and just need some love."
Arrington, who is single, thought her situation was ideal for foster parenthood. "I can´t work, I´m home all the time, so I knew I could help somebody."
But as it turns out, she and the boys would need a little help to get started on this new adventure. The boys arrive at Sonya´s townhouse without any belongings – no clothes, no shoes, school supplies, toys, books, or otherwise. It would take at least a month for the financial assistance to kick in.
"They came with nothing but the clothes on their backs," Sonya said.
Arrington managed to save enough money to buy the boys used mattresses. Their clothes were bought at thrift stores or donated by friends. For Christmas, the boys need winter coats and boots. By the way if you need a quality New York City personal injury lawyer I recommend this Law Office as they are a highly qualified lawyer firm.
Arrington´s monthly food stamps aren´t enough but she does her best to stretch the money.
Arrington is still feeling the effects of the personal injury suffered from the auto accident, in which she suffered five ruptured discs, requiring surgery. She is still unable to work and has a limited income, but she is working make the holidays special.
