Using Outlook applications for information management is best for you. You can get a lot of advantages from outlook application. It organizes your work in a very fine way. For the safety reason you can assign password on your archived PST files. It is good to save your file. But most often what happen that you forget password itself and unable to open your archived PST files. It some times makes you in trouble when you need that file most. There are many option to remember the password like you can make a file in which you can only write password to remember but it is unsafe that anyone can see that file and if you password protect that file then you have to remember that file also. And for that ….. This could be in chain so this is difficult for you.



One of the very easiest ways to open your archived PST file without password when you forget the password is using PST password recovery tool. PST password is a small utility that recover lost password of Outlook .PST (Personal Folders) file. You can recover the PST passwords of Outlook 97, Outlook 2000, Outlook XP, Outlook 2003, and Outlook 2007. For that it is not necessary that you install MS outlook. If you have file only then also you can recover password and can open achieved PST file.you can easily perform the task of outlook password recovery



The process of recovering PST file´s password is very easy. In just a simple process you can recover the password. For that just open the tab, called "PST files Passwords", select a PST file and click the "Recover Password" button. Then the name and location are automatically restored for the PST files used by your Outlook. You can recover many files password at the same time. Just add all file in PST file list. You can save it to other file also.



If you are using MS outlook then you may face one more problem that is—data loss. if you have your outlook data on your computer as Personal Folders file (.pst) then to prevent data loss you have know how to repair these files. Outlook already has given you tools that may be able to correct your damaged PST files. This tool (the inbox repair tool) is installed when you install Outlook.



Here is the process/step for Outlook pst repair





  • On the start menu click Run.



  • In the box type ----drive:Program filesCommon FilesSystemMapiLocalelDscanpst.exe


    { where LocalelD---- locale identifier (LCID) for you installation of Microsoft Office. Ex.- the LCID for English(united states) is 1033.

  • Click OK.



  • A box Enter the name of the file you want to scan appear, in that box type the path and file name given in the error message. (It may be possible that you couldn´t browse to locate this file as it is located in the hidden folder.).



  • For changing the option for logging errors during the scan click Options. If you choose Replace log or Append to log. The log file is saved to same directory as the .pst file.



  • Click Start.



  • When the scanning of file completed. Select the Make a backup of scanned file before repairing check box.



  • Click Repair.



    • If file successfully repaired then you see the message -Repair complete. If the tool is unable to repair the file then use a backup of your file. Always make a backup of your PST file.
