If the reports found in the Mainstream Media over the last few days are anything to go by (regarding the Russia/Georgia conflict), Bush does indeed walk on water and clearly is completely innocent of any wrongdoing. I guess that must make him God?
The MSM "journalists" have obviously used the same script when reporting the attack by Georgia on South Ossetia, as they all seem to be under the impression that Russia started the fight. Apparently, the Russians were ready for this war, even though Saakashvili created a surprise attack just 24 hours after having peace talks.
American politicians were shocked and outraged that the Russians didn´t stop their action when Saakashvili said "We are done now, I want a ceasefire". Is the justice system in America different to the rest of the world? If some madman walks into a shopping mall and kills a hundred people, will the police let him go if he says "It´s OK, I´ve stopped now"?
Although Russia decided to stop the military action in Georgia themselves, and before Sarkozy arrived in Moscow, have you noticed how some of the MSM have printed articles with titles like: "Bush warns Russia; Medvedev orders halt to action". This is to give the sheep the impression that Bush frightened Russia into making this decision (in his dreams!). We shall probably see French newspapers tomorrow with the headline "Sarkozy wins peace deal in Moscow!" Unbelievable!
Russia may have halted their action (for now), but the troops and tanks are still there. What happens next depends entirely on Saakashvili. He has already shown he can´t be trusted by attacking within hours of talking peace, Russia is hardly going to pull out its forces in the hope that he may be more honest next time. Moscow is going to want something more concrete this time.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Saakashvili must leave office, and demanded that Georgian troops stay out of the breakaway South Ossetia region for good. It´s unlikely that Saakashvili will volunteer to do that, but his people may not give him any choice.
The Georgian people are not going to be pleased when they discover they have risked their lives (and many of their comrades have died) in some foolish escapade (which was always doomed to fail), just to please Saakashvili´s Israeli and US masters. Once they have had time to recover (and the dust has settled) we should see Saakashvili flying back to America (if he is lucky enough to make it to the airport). And when (if?) he gets back to the US, he will discover that his "old friends" will want nothing more to do with him.
In the meantime, while we are waiting for Russia to complete its mission, we shall have to suffer a little more chest beating from the West, supported as usual by the ever obedient MSM. But don´t light up those cigars for a little while longer, the fat lady hasn´t started to sing yet!
