Only BIG Volumes Makes You BIG & Only LUQAIMAT Volumes Makes You THIN

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Elhashemy
All researchers agree that more than 95% of obesity must not be considered as a medical problem. Those people who eat big volumes of food become obese, so if they eat less, surely they will reverse their condition and return thin. I think that obesity must not be managed as a medical problem that can be solved by using drugs.

Dr. Elizabeth Parks, of UT Southwestern Medical Center and lead author of a study appearing in the Journal of Nutrition July, 2008, said that findings suggest that the right type of carbohydrates a person eats may be just as important in weight control as the number of calories a person eats. She thinks that one of the reasons people on low-carbohydrate diets may lose weight is that they reduce their intake of fructose, a type of sugar that can be made into body fat quickly. Again; fructose, glucose, and sucrose, which are all forms of sugar, are metabolized in liver into triglycerides. This study suggests that fructose is turned very quickly into fat in the body and this may be a cause of obesity.

We know that fructose is naturally found in high levels in fruit, it is also added to many processed foods. Fructose is perhaps best known for its presence in the sweetener called high-fructose corn syrup, which is 55% fructose and 45% glucose, similar to the mix that can be found in fruits. It is used as sweetener for many food manufacturers because it is cheaper and sweeter than regular sugar (sucrose).

In my opinion, the intake of high-fructose corn syrup in processed food cannot be a cause of obesity for the following reasons:

1. The intestines cannot differentiate between different types of fructose, whether it is from fresh fruits or it is from corn syrup, any of these will be absorbed as fructose.

2. Again, in a research done by Dr. Iris Shai, there was no big difference in the results between low-carb and low-fat diets (the first diet resulted in loss of 10 pounds, and the second of 7 pounds at end of 2 years). This indicates that reducing fructose as in the low-carb diet does not cause more weight loss.

3. I have thousands of obese and super obese patients who lost more than 88 pounds in 1.5 year using my innovated scientific diet plan "Luqaimat diet". They were advised to eat five pieces of fruits daily within the ten Luqaimat meals every day. By the end of 1.5 year, I did not find any difference in the degree of weight loss between patients who preferred to eat fresh fruits and those who preferred to eat dried or canned fruits.

I am strongly convinced that:

Big volumes of food are the main cause for developing big bodies, &

Small-volume meals "Luqaimat" will definitely lead to thin bodies.

And this is the core of my Luqaimat diet plan.
