NEW FEATURES AND FUNCTIONALITY ADDED TO SEEKWELLNESS.COM
The Kegel Exercise Center grew out of a staff member´s post-pregnancy experience with stress incontinence. During the last month or two of her pregnancy, she experienced episodes of incontinence when she laughed or climbed stairs. When the incontinence did not go away after her baby was born, she discussed it with her doctor who did not have a lot of helpful information for her. She turned to existing information at SeekWellness.com and found several articles about how to control this type of incontinence. She also realized that a lot of younger women in her situation were probably not aware of the treatment or the website´s resources on the topic. After consulting with the editor, they decided to create the Kegel Exercise Center at www.seekwellness.com/kegel/ that includes: articles about the exercises themselves, conditions that may be improved through a Kegel exercise routine, various methods to use, ways that both men and women can benefit, quick reference sheets, a diary form to help plan and execute a program and links to forums where visitors can compare notes.
Don Ardell´s Blog, Wellness Perspectives on Politics, Sex and Religion, (www.seekwellness.com/don-ardell/) was launched in September 2007 and has already garnered a large audience. According to Don, "No less an astute observer of human conduct than Anthony Trollope regarded politics, sex and religion as the stuff of high comedy, and I feel the same way." Evidently, many people agree with Don and Anthony Trollope. Of course, Don´s regular column called Wellness in the Headlines: Don´s Report to the World, (www.seekwellness.com/wellness/) is always well read. The next logical step for Seek Wellness was to make Don´s thoughts more readily available to a larger audience through syndication tools. If you experience the Internet through a My Yahoo homepage or through iGoogle, you can now add Don to those pages by clicking on links at the end of the blog at www.seekwellness.com. In addition, if you own or manage a website, you can paste both the blog and Don´s regular column into your website pages as Google gadgets available at www.seekwellness.com/widgets.htm.
