Christians: “the mark” and you

Christians in the British police force are already being confronted with what is surely the “mark” of Revelation. They have been ordered to have a microchip implanted which will track their whereabouts (in working hours at least). Those who know their Bible will refuse it even at risk of job loss and worse.

Anyone with discernment can surely see that the implanted microchip is indeed the biblical “mark” of Revelation 13. Eventually no-one will be able to buy or sell without it (see previous article). Very soon it will be a tracking device (being trialled now) containing RFID technology, and the microchip will eventually be used to control the buying and selling of millions/billions worldwide.

Christians ignorant of what Revelation says will accept the microchip, thereby paying homage to an evil “system” which God condemns. Revelation 14 clearly states that God’s wrath is upon those who take the mark.

For believers, ignorance and wrong teaching makes them unaware. Many think Jesus will “rapture them” (take them out) before having to face the microchip choice. The theory being they won’t be around to decide.

The Bible makes it clear that Christians will have to decide. Prophesying the future, Revelation 20:4 refers to believers who had refused the “mark” on the hand or forehead whilst in this world and were beheaded. Obviously, they had not been “raptured” beforehand but had to make the choice re the mark. Beheading for refusing the mark hasn’t happened yet, but the Bible predicts it will at some time.

In Revelation 2 and 3 Jesus frequently uses the phrase “To he who overcomes” when speaking to the churches. For many years western Christians have been living on Easy Street, with nothing to overcome. Persecution has been mostly from rotten eggs thrown at street preachers, coupled with occasional verbal abuse when tracts are handed out. However, thank God for those who have spread the gospel on the streets in obedience to Jesus. Generally, the Great Commission has been as popular with today’s Christians as a December holiday in Iceland.

It’s going to be tough refusing the microchip for believers who have heard only the lullaby preaching of love, joy, peace, prosperity. Biblically true, but it’s what folks love to hear - and fits in well with the easy-living of the western world. It also gets bottoms on seats.

Flipping the coin, Bible truth tells us: “All who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” 2 Timothy 3:12. Again, Acts 14:22: “...we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” Heard any sermons on those topics lately?

Now is the time for pastors and ministers to warn the flock of what is to come. Otherwise many will be ignorant, unprepared, and will say “yes” when ordered to take the microchip.

The wrath of God is described in Revelation 16 – and it is horrific. Everyone, Christian or not, will surely want to avoid that wrath after reading what the Bible says.

The answer is simple. Trust in and obey Jesus, no matter what comes. To those who have rejected Him up to now – think again.
