4 Easy Steps to a Recipe for Success
I did not come up with this formula myself. I learned it from Tony Robbins' "Personal Power II" home audio series. In a nutshell, it's a four step formula for achieving results in any area of your life.
No matter what it is you want to accomplish, this plan can be used to achieve results faster and easier. If you're like some, you might find it hard to believe that this can work for you. That is exactly why the hardest part of this is that you must put away all doubt and ignore your beliefs and experiences.
You'll need to put all that behind you and take action regardless of doubt or fear. This is known as "getting out of your own way."
If after reviewing this formula, it seems simple to you, that's because it is. Part of the reason it works is because it's simple. It's possible that you might be tempted to dismiss this system for being too obvious and too simple. It won't take long, however, for you to see the power in this recipe for success.
Following a process such as this formula helps you stay on track. Motivation, by definition, has to be rekindled. This method can act as a motivation booster when you need it. Below is the four step recipe for success that will work for anything you want to accomplish.
1. Choose your outcome - You need a roadmap to follow or you won't get where you want to go. Most people do not make good decisions. Instead they waffle back and forth, and as a result, often are at the mercy of circumstances. You must decide on what you want and then pursue it.
2. Take action -- Now that you know where you want to go, you have to take action in order to get there. This requires you to make a second decision to take immediate action on your first decision. Make a commitment to taking those actions that will move you toward your desired outcome. In order to do this, you must put aside all fear and doubt. Like Nike, "just do it."
3. Track progress -- Check your progress and notice what is working and what is not. Do more of what is working, and change or drop what is not working. Keep fine tuning your actions until you achieve the results you want.
4. Use modeling -- Modeling is essentially copying what works. If you model those who are already successful, you'll accelerate your progress and achieve results you otherwise would not. Not only is it easier to copy what someone else has already done, but you can improve upon it little by little.
I've employed this recipe for success many times, and it can work for anyone. Use it and then tell someone else about it so they can use it too.
