American University for Hawaii www.auh.edu or www.aufh.net is now known as American University for Humanities

Dr. Adalat Khan
American University of Hawaii which was originally established in Hawaii has moved out of the State of Hawaii and is currently located in the state of Delaware. The school which was established by Professor Henry Safavi has been operating in many countries. The university has also changed its name to American University for Humanities www.aufh.net . The website states that it is an institution of liberal education, and as such, it is only conceivable that it should obtain its recognition as an accredited institution from the recognized agency responsible for this area of higher learning.

A major milestone in the university history is its accreditation with the The American Academy for Liberal Education (AALE) http://www.aale.org/highered/list.htm. AALE is the national association that accredits institutions offering quality general education programs in the liberal arts that meet the Academy's stringent educational, administrative, and financial criteria. Led by its President, Dr. Jeffrey Wallin, AALE is unique in the accreditation community in grounding the entire institutional or program accreditation process on a rigorous set of Education Standards. A major purpose of the Academy is the accreditation of liberal arts institutions in order to enable them to participate in programs authorized under the Higher Education Act and other Federal programs. Universities, colleges, or liberal arts programs within such institutions may apply for AALE accreditation.
