A Mind Blowing Awakening to the Bose-Einstein Condensate

A while back, science reached a milestone. So big in fact, they called it the Holy Grail of physics. Researchers were awarded a Nobel prize; it was a very big deal.
Problem is, in the real world, where physics rarely makes an appearance on the evening news, old school equations are set in stone almost in perpetuity. Whatever was taught as a limit – for many – is still the limit… And we non-math folk don´t subscribe to the latest physics journals so "it is", and "that´s that".
The difference for me was that I was fortunate to be able to identify one such expired limit in the field of physics as it was being repeated multiple times at an event. Fortunate because the event happened shortly after I saw a program on Nova called The Race for Absolute Zero.
At the time I found myself watching the show, I wondered that I stuck with it. I spend very little time with television and usually watch part of a program or three and then give it a rest. This show caught my attention because it dealt with some pieces of the puzzle that had been missing for me in trying to quantify a deeply profound mystical experience. So, given I usually end up in the right place at the right time, I got the information I needed.
At the event, the presenter kept repeating the line that particles and waves can never join. That stuck in my craw and I went into rebel mode; the remainder of his presentation was lost on me.
Quickly, I racked my brain for the cause of my aversion to his statements. Then I remembered seeing a program I couldn´t place. However, the program had made such an impact on me because of personal experience with the information that I wrote it down in my journal. So I went home and googled the rest of the information and watched the show again.
Anyone who knows physics knows the word final is relative. Matter of fact, and I use the term "matter" loosely, the more we discover, the more we find we have yet to discover. But that entire realm of discovery isn´t even a blip on the radar screen of the five o´clock news.
So out in the real world, life goes on without the wonderful information that we have broken barriers we once thought impossible. And this Holy Grail thing is huge. In The Race for Absolute Zero, researchers found something that has the potential to rock the world, the universe, and every other universe and dimension we are aware of. I will explain it as I understand it. In a nutshell, the Bose-Einstein condensate is an entirely new form of matter that causes atoms to suffer an identity crisis. They lose their form and behave in very strange ways for atoms: not solid or liquid or gas. Atoms start to display wave like properties. Particles lose their identity and think they are everywhere. The atom is described as being "at rest".

For me, the research gave my extraordinary mystical experience a basis in science. While under hypnosis, during a very unique set of circumstances, I was made to feel what I can only describe as universal awareness, experience of being one with all that is; and it is almost as mind blowing to remember as it was to experience at the time. "At rest" is a good descriptor, but my words are "at ease". I felt like I was melting into completion. There was absolutely no feeling of separation. All is One.
Totally unprepared for the psychological impact of that encounter, my experience of "oneness" lasted for a count of two, by design, because whatever "I" was would not have returned by choice. That is exactly how I felt at the time.
No solid, no liquid, no gas, the Bose-Einstein condensate is everywhere at once. And, it is my experience that there is a level of quantum awareness and existence where we humans are in that same state of identity dissolution, and yet, very much connected. But that might be a bit much to expect anyone to try to tackle on the five o´clock news.
