Stress and the Mind-Body Connection

People who are emotionally healthy can control their thoughts, feelings and behaviors as compared to other people. They feel good and enjoy relationships. The people having sound state of health and mind perceive problems with a positive attitude. Stress and problems with family, work etc can trigger mental illness and people are not aware this kind of problems. Anger can make the simple matters horrible.

The body responds to stress by making stress hormones. These hormones help your body respond to situations of extreme need. But when your body makes too many of these hormones for a long period of time the hormones wear down your body and your emotions. People who are under stress are too emotional, anxious, irritable and even depressed from life.

Controlling your emotions can help you a lot in life. Learn to express your feelings in appropriate ways. It´s important to let people know when something is bothering you. Keeping feelings of sadness or anger inside takes energy and can cause problems in your relationships. Always think before you act or make any statement. Emotions can be powerful. But before you get carried away by emotions and say or do something you might regret, give yourself time to think.

Strive for balance in life and always find time to enjoy. Focus on positive events in your life. Try to change situations which push you in anger, distress and deteriorate your mental health. You should talk with your close friends about your problem. They might have suggestions for your problem which you are unable to find. Even if we are deprived of the solution, just the feeling that someone else has tried to understand can go a long way towards helping us to maintain our mental heath sound.

Exercises help us in maintaining sound state of heath as exercise incites release of chemicals into our bodies. Physical activity is a proven way to keep mentally well. Relaxation methods, such as deep breathing, and exercise are useful ways to cope with stress and to keep mental heath at its highest pitch. Regular exercise, healthy food and good sleep are necessary for healthy body. Never intake drugs or alcohol as these can ruin your life easily and most of depressed people fell in the trap quite easily.

People who are mentally healthy can cope with stress and problems in an effective manner as compared to those who don´t enjoy good state of mental heath. You should look for the methods which can help you to overcome your anger, frustration or distress and can restore sound state of mental health.
