My Advice For Hillary Clinton

Ken Hughes
If I were advising Hillary Clinton [which I’m not] I would warn her against taking advice from her over zealous supporters and that includes the Hollywood elite and Husband Bill Clinton. These are not the people who are going to elect you President Sister Clinton. You lose this one and you’ll be standing alone on the corners of Going Nowhere Way and Has Been Street” for the rest of you’re political career.

Hillary’s been patronizing the voters and talking down to them as though they are children. Those voting in the 2008 presidential election will be the best informed voters in the history of this country. They will only be impressed by a vision of the future of the country not an egomaniacal Ex-President of an ageing Hollywood Diva. Hillary would get more mileage out of Rosie O’Donnell than Barbra Streisand. At least Rosie has opinions on current events even if they’re wrong, Babs is still looking for Oz and the yellow brick road.

Bill Clinton is pounding the pavement stump by stump pretending he’s campaigning for Hillary. When 90% of his speeches are promoting his presidential legacy and less than 10% are promoting Hillary’s campaign for president. When the crowds show up it’s not to hear about Hillary it’s to ogle Bill. After Bill has finished his self-aggrandizements he may get around to giving Hillary a half hearted mention. Old habits are hard to break and Bill campaigning for anyone other than Bill Clinton is hard to believe, even when he isn’t running he’s running.

Is Hillary a surrogate for a third Bill Clinton presidency? Maybe Hillary is Buffalo Bobs [Bill Clinton’s] Hoody Doody.

Can anyone honestly picture Barbara Streisand standing out in the hot sun in Turkeyneck Tennessee pitching Hillary as a presidential candidate? Babs may go on the View and do a half hour with Larry King you can bet it won’t be anything strenuous. Babs is another one who has nothing but distain for public opinion.

Why do candidates use celebrities when they know the celebrity is going to overshadow the candidate and make their entire appearance personal and irrelevant to the campaign issues? Obama is using Oprah to promote his campaign. Unless Oprah plans on giving everyone who votes for Obama a new car her support won’t be worth much.

Pat Sajak was right when he said celebrities aren’t qualified to give the public political advice, nor is the public obligated to listen.

Can’t these candidates see 2008 will not be an election in the old way? All anyone needs to do to see the changes is to look at television programming. The new programming consists largely of reality TV, news, sports and documentaries. After 60 years television has finally come around to what it was intended to be, the information highway. The public’s given up on fluff their looking for the beef the voters aren’t buying the old politics. It seems not all the presidential candidates have realized this. A few months ago the Democratic candidates were trying to convince the voters the country was going to hell in a hand basket. The voters looked around and couldn’t see the hand basket. The Democrats started the campaign by trying to convince the voters lowering taxes was a sin. The campaign started with proposals for spending billions on failed programs that would further enable society’s cheaters to further expand their scams bilking the tax payers out of their money. What is a sin is taxing simply because they can. Building roads and bridges to nowhere and museums honoring the countries largest pot smoking and drug shooting party isn’t what taxes are meant for.

This country doesn’t need more programs for the poor and the so called underprivileged. Teaching ethnic history is fine if they teach American history first. Bilingual programs have always been a part of the curriculum but only after English as a first language. Amnesty and citizenship for 20 million illegals could add 20 million more to the welfare rolls legally. The Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights and The Constitution were all written to set men free of an oppressive government. They were explicit in guaranteeing man the right to pursue his own destiny with as little government control as possible. Nowhere do they advocate or authorize the welfare state. The Revolutionary War was fought primarily over excessive taxation and lack of personal freedoms. To quote Ronald Reagan……”There They Go Again.” It’s as though Jolly old Europe is coming back to take charge of America.

Not since 1776 have the people been as disgusted with their congressional leaders as they are now. The people are standing up and voicing opinions about issues such as the illegal immigration amnesty bill, the New York driver’s license issue and a Cross on a hill in California. These voices may be faint to the politicians now but the closer it gets to the 2008 elections the louder the voices for political change will be. Politicians are like palm trees in a hurricane, they’re willing to bend over double rather than be uprooted. Politicians are like palm trees in another way, when they get old and lose their charm they should be uprooted and replaced with more attractive trees.

Political Correctness, the ACLU, Gay and Ethnic special privileges have run a-muck in recent years and need to be brought back to reasonable standards, standards that also accommodates Redneck White Boys. America is a country of many languages and many colors we should have a right to our predigeses, the minorities certainly have and freely express theirs.

The choice is yours Mr. and Mrs. Voter. Cleaning up past messes just to make new messes with the same old mess-makers doesn’t make much sense does it? We can change president every 4 to 8 years from now to eternity but until the voters gets a handle on congress and their irresponsible ways nothing will change. The way to a responsible congress is to vote [no] for every incumbent. If the new guys and gals are willing to commit to a constitutional amendment for term limits vote them in. If enough new members are elected to congress the Supreme Court will see the wisdom of following the peoples will and stop legislating from the bench. After all the name of the game in Washington is survival.

All of these are things Hillary Clinton will embrace once she hears the voices of the people. She’s a pragmatist she will bow down and kiss the bronzed feet of a Ronald Reagan Statue if it gets her even one term as president. The only thing that stands in the way of a Hillary presidency is Hillary. She’s set her mind on being the master of the people and not their servant. That’s what happens when politicians start believing their own propaganda. Like I said Hillary is a pragmatist, a palm tree or a suck-up, your choice. We know she will go to any end, suffer any indignity to accomplish what she’s dreamed of all her life being “The First Female President of the United States.” I can live with one term of a Hillary Clinton Presidency if that’s what she so desperately wants. I can’t live with a congress that can’t muster more than 11 % approval rating from the public.

God please bless Hillary’s determination and give her the wisdom to know how to act on behalf of all the people that is if she’s elected, and that is if you’re still talking to each other.
